Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is well prepared considering all the aspects.Sometimes you feel it is easy to manage during some semesters and very difficult to manage during some semesters. As labs are included in your course curriculum you will be gaining practical knowledge. Lab exams are also conducted for a subject which includes lab in the curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Internships recruitment happens during 3rd year.Hiring varies from company to company.Few consider CGPA and few donot consider CGPA.They conduct exam and shortlist and followed by interview.companies like Goldman Sachs, samsung and many other companies recruit interns and may also offer PPO's too.
Placement Experience
Placement percentage differ every year depending on various factors.Most of the time it is 75% plus.Highest and avg package also differs year on year.Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, samsung, Qualcomm,BEL, GAIL,IoCL and many other MNC's and PSU'S hire through clg.
Fees and Financial Aid
SC & ST students have no college fee.They need to pay only hostel and mess fee.During my period it is 36500 per semester.where as students from OC,EWS etc and other commitments have to pay both college and hostel,mess fee.It is around 62500 per semester.Meritorious students and students from SC/ST and other communities used to get scholarships too based on few parameters considering their family income and some other rules.Fee might increase or decrease yearly considering various factors.
Campus Life
Two fests are celebrated on a big scale.one is Engineer or Engi which is a tech fest celebrated mostly in sept every year and the other is Incident or inci which is a cultural fest and is celebrated in March and many other events including culturals and sports go on through out the year. Many technical clubs are present and social clubs too recruitment goes on at the beginning of academic year. Library contains almost all of the books which help both in academics and non academics.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are pretty decent.Well maintained with frequent cleaning.No AC's are provided.Mess food is pretty decent.You can opt for either veg or non veg.Hostels for new joiners will be allocated during their admission process mostly shared accomodation during first and second year.from third yr individual rooms will be provided.
Admission
Me and most other candidates choose this college considering private beach and also this college ranks second in NIT'S in India.Admission process is different for josaa and dasa candidates.Josaa guys give jee and get admission based on their rank.
Faculty
Few faculty are very student friendly and few are very strict it depends and varies from dept to dept. The faculties me n my friends liked were Prabhu sir,Sri Hari sir,NSV Sheth sir. Exams were conducted in the following way Quiz -1 ,mid sem,quiz -2,end sem. Sometimes instead of quiz assignment may be given it depends on faculty.The level of toughness of exams varies.It is mostly moderate - tough.
