Course Curriculum Overview

4

Ahh!! Coming to curriculum it doesn't change much ( rather not at all ) from year to year . They have been following the same syllabus for decades with some changes here and there. But compared to other colleges especially private it is updated. And exams here are very important as cgpa is really really important for anything. You can't take any exam for granted as it is a relative grading.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are companies which offer internships for the students including top companies like faang. And CDC for really hard in assisting students for the placement and internship. Even professors helps the students in internships and clubs give that vast network and building skills.

Placement Experience

4

According to seniors students are eligible from 6th sem for the placements and CDC works really hard in maintaining a bridge between students and companies. Every top company comes for the campus placements and they even hire interns with a good payment. Circuital branch average package is around 20LPA. Highest package is around 52LPA ( India ) and abroad touches 1cr and most of them placed on or off campus placement around 80% and some of them go for higher studies and some go into entrepreneurship.

Fees and Financial Aid

On an average it will cost you around 1,00,000/- per annum for general students with high income which includes tution fee mess and hostel and some charges here and there. There are n number of scholarships available for the poor people inorder to complete their degree without any issues. There are scholarships by the institute in tution fees itself based on merit and income and some are there for hostels too. And there are other scholarships which gives financial aids. And you can get study loans easily as SBI and Canara Bank is present in college itself.

Campus Life

5

Expect the financial, administration and admission stuff whole college is being run by the students for the students to the students. Clubs, fest , cafeterias and what not . Clubs in NITK are very very active even during the vacations. There are multiple events going on even during the week days. NITK have 2 large libraries including e library. Fests are solely conducted by the students one fest in March and other one in October. It is largest student organised fest of India. Sports facilities here are very good after Nit Calicut and Nit kurukshetra, nit surathkal is best in sports in winning medals

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Infrastructure of hostel and quality of mess food is okayish. Many pg are available nearby but choosing hostel is always the best part. There is no such special registration process for the hostel. It is done during the payment of tution fee. Mess food is not that great but we can adjust with that it may be a problem for the north Indians as they are not used to it.

Admission

Don't believe any other websites and stuff. There is only one and only to get into this premium institute i.e JEE mains even for the foreign students. Being one of the best institute cutoffs go really high for a general student For ece it is around 99.5 percentile Write Jee mains exams and get result with good percentile and then you can here

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of NIT-K is really good and the best. They have a vast experience and content in their field. Most of them have atleast 10+ years of teaching experience and some of them even have 25+ years of experience. They reciprocate the amount of efforts and enthusiasm the class or students put. Some of them worked on the ground in their fields which helps the students in assisting them during their placements.

The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business.
