- The Events organised in the campus either cultural or technical.
- The ratio of the boys to girls like 4:1 and out of 8800 students nearly about 1600 girls are there...

- The syllabus is not tough but lengthy, the classes and works aur too hectic here you will able to get enough to explore new things, see new domains work on your interests...
- Very small semesters are there nearly about 4 months odd sem and 25 days vacation after it in even sem it is even shorter than the odd one just of 3-3.5 months and rest are holidays nearly about 3.5 months vacation.. Such irregularity in conduction
Placement Experience:
From 4 year placement is available for 6sem end and 7sem starting... Civil core related placements are mostly towards govt. services oriented and less towards private sector...but for the other branches circital and others the placement is running low right now because of the heavy recession is going right now... You are able to get the degree but even after getting nice knowledge and being skilled you are not able to placed due to circumstances...

- There is a lot to explore in college.. you get to be a part of multiple clubs and organise lot of events, this helps you to get experience in every field
- There is a private beach in our college, this is very helpful as whenever we feel stressed out, we find peace at beach
Dislikes
- There are lot of exams frequently, so there's a lot of workload we need to learn proper management
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is up to date and we get all the resources to study.. library has all the books available and we can issue it with the help of our library card. There are 4 exams plus assignment in each course every sem. This includes two quiz, 1 midsem and 1 endsem

- I liked the exposure here as it is one of the best colleges of our country, great brains, great ideas
- I also liked the greenery here as there are trees everywhere well maintained.
Dislikes
- Disliked the discrimination here for northies although its very less.
- Disliked the management in some instances
Placement Experience:
From semester 5, the students are eligible for internships, interviews for which are being taken in the campus only. If a student wants, he can apply for off campus internships too before semester 5 but he must be aware of the 75% attendance policy strictness here. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Infosys, etc come for placement and roughly 6-7 cgpa is the minimum criteria for sitting in placement interviews. Students from core branches can give interviews for tech companies too. Highest package is roughly ?55 lakhs and average is nearly ?18 lakhs in on-campus placements. And roughly 88% students get placed every year. I don't have much plans after getting the degree, either job or any business.

Placements are good you can apply for placements from 7th semester some students get ppo from internships im 3rd semester. Many companies come for on site recruiting and people get placed at those companies

- Campus facilities is very good and nicely maintained and they are coming up with more development in each structure.
- The sports complex is the best part as it is very well made.

- The 75% attendance rule is very strict over here.
- Some of the profs that you get don’t really know what they are teaching .
Placement Experience:
College placements are decent here. Right now due to recession the offers and companies that is coming to the students is less but it should improve by next year. Around 90-95% of the students are place in all branches. I wanna either get a job in core civil side or I'll do my MBA and then decide what exactly I wanna do either sales or continue in civil.

- Schedule sometimes.And politics during student elections,groupism.

Placement percentage differ every year depending on various factors.Most of the time it is 75% plus.Highest and avg package also differs year on year.Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, samsung, Qualcomm,BEL, GAIL,IoCL and many other MNC's and PSU'S hire through clg.

- The clubs here are good enough to conduct many good events almost every week, and infrastructure here is also good which they are more developing now. Academics wise this college is pretty decent, to learn things and all, labs here are best.
- The girls to boys ratio is like below than average only, coming to my class, that ratio is like 1:5, out of which almost all the girls are already committed,
Dislikes
- The people family who have annual income more than 8 had to pay loads of fees for everything, that is much more burden, and makes no sense in not giving scholarship to them, so that systen is to be changed
- Because my college nitk is on beach, we only have 2 seasons here, either rainy or summer, in both seasons its full of humidity, early morning here itll be like 70% humidity, here it sweats alot.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements, there are more than 100 companies visited for my college nitk, companies like bajaj auto, caterpillar, amazon, flipkart, zomato, hindustan cocacola, deloitte, google, Microsoft, texas instruments, philips carbon black, oracle, tcs, 99 games, tata consultancies services, and many other companies. The highest package was 55lpa in computet science department this academic year, and average is like 18lpa for all over branches, In my department electrical and communication engineering the average package is like 21lpa and median package is also around 20lpa which is good only. My plans after getting degree is to get a job in campus placements only and work for some years and then my interests ill search off

- Cultural fests and celebrating all kinds of festival without any religious dispute

- Introverted people will have to face issues becauss a lot of talented people are present
- Tough to find like minded people and socialising is important and making connection with good seniors is also important

Oh placement is one of the reasons for me joining nitk if u r a not circuit branch student and still want to sit for circuital branches placement u r free to do so almost 90% placement level is seen in nitk Tere are so many mncs and also industrial placement are also pretty decent

- First thing I would like to address is beach . NIT K have its own private beach .where you can rejuvenate yourself if u are looking for peace wit the hectic day.
- Seondly , I would like to address on the Placements .NITK have diverse placeement scenario in various domains such as in core and Tech roles

- Things I dislike is weather. Since there is a beach over here ,You can expect high humidity with respect to your home towns and residence
Placement Experience:
In 5th and 6 th semester , students will get an opportunities for the companies during a summer break for an internship. where a student can grab an internship and can convert into a full Time role as a job (PPO) or else studentts can start their journey for capus placements in th sem and will be elgible for the company.Most of the companies elgible those students who are having CGPA above or equal to 7.Around 250-300 companies were recruited last year and Top companies are Google , Microsoft ,Uber and paulo alto and following companies recruit students by providing around 25 LPA are Oracle, Ring central ,qualcomm,texas ,Wells Fargo and more.. core chemical companies are Exxon Mobill , RIL ,kongsberg Digital Dr.reddys laboratory and PSU's. The Highest packaage in Chemical branch will be around 18 LPA and average salary will be around 10-12 LPA . which differ due to the circumstances . In Tech side Highest salary will be of 50_60 LPA and averaage salary will be around 25 LPA.

- The people who get admitted here are mostly very knowledgeable so the company we have is good.
Dislikes
- Since it is a government college the hostel rooms arent that of a good standard.
- The weather in this side of the state is hard to get used to considering extreme heat and rain

Camous placements are the highlights of our college. You can start applying from your third year. Internships are also given after a round of tests. Average placement for mechanical is 1400000. Last year placements stood at 80 percent.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
