- I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
- Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
- Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs
Dislikes
- There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
- Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
- There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

- campus is vast, lush,green, climate is hot. There is bus service, infrastructure is good and a new lecture hall is almost completed. college provides opportunities for placement and internships.
- there is a decently equipped gym, proper tennis court, swimming pool which has been opened recently, football ground (not turf) u can also play cricket, there is volleyball area and 2 basketball court. an indoor badminton court is also there
- there is ample options for snacks, night canteens, cafeteria. they are at resonable rates.hostels are good. a new hostel building has been built which provides hot water for bath as well as better funitures for students
Dislikes
- departments such as Information Technology, lack proper professors. There is a nice canteen called Fodd court and it is veg (if it was non veg it wouldve been good)
- since there is a large number of students some places can be very crowded. we have faced water issues (beggining of the year usually) as well as power cuts . they are not very frequent but affect life
- boys- girl ratio is poor (10:2 imo). students are way too competitive.

What is your review of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) , Surathkal?
NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
