I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Inside NITK!!

Likes

Private Beach of NITK, Green Campus, Infrastructure.
Faculty's experience and teaching style is good.
Best student life with more social interactions

Dislikes

Water shortage problem in summer days (so humid)
Block timings for 1st year students ( in 1st sem it was upto only 7pm and now in 2nd sem it was upto 9pm but made upto 11pm after requesting)

Placement Experience:

As I am still in 1st year I dont know all the details regarding placements . From seniors and from google i got to know that the placement is very good and year by year more number of companies are coming to campus. I think from 7th semester we will be eligible for campus placements. Percentage of students getting palced is more than 90 (some department close to 90) as the rest students may purse higher studies.

Internships and projects add practical exposure

Nothing much to be disliked, everything is pretty cool
The facilities given to day scholars could be improved
The number of students per class could be reduced

The placements ar pretty good, with top companies attending them. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, google, microsoft etc participate in them. The highest package goes around 56lpa, the average for cse being around 28lpa. 95% of them are placed.

Good college

Likes

The infrastructure was really nice and clean
Hostels and classrooms were looking great.
Semester schedule was really nice and flexible.

Dislikes

Food was little bit disappointing and I'm feeling bad on it.
The boys to girls ratio would be around 4:1
Girls are not soo beautiful and looking average.

As this was a good college, it provides good internship and placement opportunities from good companies globally. Placement packages were also great and the average packages were also nice. It was 27 lakhs for my branch.

Academics and curriculum, sports facilities
Social life is very good and get to interact with a lots of different people
Mentorship and teaching is very very good

Dislikes

Roads, hostels and mess food the cleanliness of mess
Neatness of the roads bathrooms inthe hostel
The clothes washing and the cost in night canteens

Placement Experience:

The placements of nitk are exceptional the average package is around 14 lakhs and the placements percentage is around 90 percentage which is very great. The highest package is around 60 lakhs per annum

Likes

I like this college because it is so nice and I think no need to improve
I like the grounds and nature. Classes are also good
Faculty is also good . They will explain neatly

Dislikes

I think Placements are also good they are based on our cgpa
Water is not good . Water problems are also there
Corse plan is also good they are making it well

Course Curriculum Overview:

I suggest that they can also teach another program like for us in chemistry cycle there is python but in physics cycle there is nothing like that if they teach c program in p cycle that will help us a lot. Exam's difficulty is normal

NITK - A ROLLER COASTER RIDE

Likes

Private beach , good faculty, nice curriculum
Large campus with more facilities,more cafes
Located near nice places . Good for trips

Dislikes

Climate changes more rapidly , it's more uneven
Water shortage, hostel facilities are worst
There are less chances for entering clubs for freshers

Campus is very big and includes all amenities namaste

Main thing I liked about my college are academics.
There are many opportunities available for people who have their own talents like music,dance.
There are nice sports facilities available

Dislikes

The weather here is too humid that we cannot stay here without fans
There is water shortage in this college area
There will be heavy precipitation during monsoon season

Students become eligible for placements in 7th semester almost 600 companies visited and offer so many jobs.highest package is 60 lakh per annum and average package is 19 lakh per annum.93% of the students are getting placed.

First of all I liked college campuse with full of greenary and it's climate are good .
Next come to college infrastructure is very nice and classes facilities are extremely nice
The placement of this college is good as in my branch Highest is 55 lakh per annum and medium is 29 lakh per annum.

Dislikes

As I observed the things in sports equipment and other things to be improved
As I my hostle there is cycle stand and all hostel have cycle stand .
Some more improvement needed in the mess .

Placement Experience:

As I don't know more about it but I heard that from 7th semester only we become eligible for placements Delhivary,adobe,tata and other prestige companies Highest package is 55 lakh per annum and lowest is 12 lakh per annum

The placement cell really works hard and well to ensure all students are placed.

As I already told placement is good. Just try to keep your CGPA above 7.5-8 and you will be able to sit for hiring of all companies and rest be prepared with your DSA and core CSE concepts, Placement season is hectic but good and worthy. Few of the recruiters were Western Digital, Qualcomm and Samsung Semiconductors.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
