Placements in NITK Surathkal is very good and gives lots of opportunities for students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their seventh semester. Many top companies visit the campus for placements and almost all students get placed if they prepare well. The placement process is organized and the institute has strong ties with industries. For example, in recent placement season, Computer Science and Engineering department had 99.8% placement rate. Highest package offered was ?58 lakhs per annum and average package was ?29 lakhs per annum. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Adobe visited campus and hired many students. The profiles offered were mostly in software development, data science, and cloud engineering. The Electronics and Communication Engineering department also did very well with 96.43% placement rate. Highest package for this branch was ?54.75 lakhs per annum and average package was around ?16 lakhs per annum. Companies like Qualcomm, Intel, and Texas Instruments visited for hiring. In Information Technology, placements were also great. Out of 137 eligible students, 102 got placed on campus and 4 got off-campus placements. The highest salary package offered in IT was ?55 lakhs per annum and average package was ?24.56 lakhs per annum. The profiles offered included software engineering, system design, and machine learning. Chemical Engineering had 92.59% placement rate. The highest package for this branch was ?32 lakhs per annum and median package was ?12 lakhs per annum. Companies like Reliance, BPCL, and Honeywell hired students for roles in process engineering and production management. Overall, placement rate for most departments is very high and institute provides support for students to get good job offers. The highest packages in some branches are very impressive but even average packages are good compared to many other colleges.

If student have some programing knowledge already from 1st yr then he can get internship in 1st yr itself it may be paid or unpaid depends on skills student have usually internship start from 3rd yr one of our senior get 1lakh internship at amazon for 1month . For campus placement students must have CGPA more than 7.5 otherwise he is not eligible for campus placement. All big companies are visiting our college like Amazon, Google, flipkart,adob, microsoft,mahindra ,hdfc,bank of america, kotak, bajaj india, etc All times it happens that highest package goes to tech companies last year the highest package is 54 lpa and the avg package is 20 lpa for whole college it vary with branch like mining branch highest package was 30 lpa and avg package was 12 lpa . On an average 85 to 90 % student get placed who are registered for the placement. It also vary with branch like It - 99% placement Cse-98% Mining -90% etc.. After getting degree 1st I tried to placed through campus placement after that I am improving myself and finding of campus placement as I am from core branch so college didn't focused more on core branch to placed in it sector that's why only 20% of it company which visiting the college allowed to sit the core branch in placement with cgpa criteria..

From 5th semester students are eligible for campus internships. Many companies visit here every here and offer jobs such as google.amazon,meta,realiance,ola.almost every student in my college get placed. highest package was offered by google that was for 54 lakh. and average packacge here is 17 lakh. almost 95% students get placed. I am clear about my passion right now but there is more chance i will go for tech jobs

This course is best way to go in field of computer and development if you don't have bachlor in computer.and we have lab to learn real world work and subjects that going to help you to working in software development.odd sem will be little easy but even sem get too busy for students because in even we have more subjects as compared to odd sem.

Yes. Campus placements happen in our college.The number of students who are placed in campus is high. Students are eligible for placements from 7th semester but the internships start much earlier to that. Last year 190 companies visited NITK for campus placements with leading companies in the world like Microsoft, Amazon ,oracle, Uber, samsung Adobe etc. 87% of the students got in campus placements lst year. For civil department 54.75 lakhs per annum was the highest package and 18 lakhs was the average package. There were students who got 1cr plus package also those students were form CSE and IT Department.

Like the curriculum to be honest is the same from the best 25 years, so much of the subjects which you study won't help you at all, only few like cad, thermodynamics would be useful and rest skills you will have to study on your own and exams are easy like you can score above 8 cgpa just by studying 1 week before the exams.

Placement season is going on, and it's pretty good here. But I am preparing for higher studies in mtech in mechanical engineering. So I am little away from this. More than 170 companies visited till now, and still 6 months there. According to last year data 93 % students get placed.

Placement are not that good not that bad for this year as the recession hit like for example this year civil engineering placement percentage for whole batch was 47% which is way too less. I don't know about the employability plans after completing the course.

For 6th semester or 7 th semester we'll be eligible for campus placements Our college provide very good placement as it is the top 2 NIT and Top engineering college in Karnataka The highest package was 55LPA and Average package was 18LPA

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.
