Likes
- Like the campus is of 300 acres, with playground and a personal beach of its own.
- Then the professors who are well learned.
- Also the alumni network with good seniors and club in the campus which are a great way of learning.
Dislikes
- The food in every mess is below average, especially at nights.
- We need to share a small room with 3 students in first year then with 2 in second year
- The professors only read ppt and we need to study by ourselves
Course Curriculum Overview
Like the curriculum to be honest is the same from the best 25 years, so much of the subjects which you study won't help you at all, only few like cad, thermodynamics would be useful and rest skills you will have to study on your own and exams are easy like you can score above 8 cgpa just by studying 1 week before the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, internship opportunities are available in 4 th and 5 th sem and alot of companies come visit, most of them for software roles and few for core courses and stipend would be from 25000 to 1 lakh, and projects are only way to get a internship so we need to have good projects and a good resume.
Fees and Financial Aid
Like for the first sem it was 75000, including everything the tution fee and the mess fee which was about 32000 and hostel rent is about 10000 per sem and the total fees to be paid depends on the sem type like odd or the even sem. Also other fees like Development fee of 2320 is taken every sem, Career development fee of 1000 , Swimming pool fee and campus emitties 1000 rupees each.
Campus Life
Yes the clubs are amazing, and you would learn more in from the classes , and recently a swimming pool is also built, also their are other events like the charity run etc. also festivals like incident and engineer.
Hostel Facilities
Like for 1 st and second year the hostels we need to stay with 2 students then with 1 student and from 3 rd year single rooms are available, rooms are good with lan network but there is always issue with the food if you are vegetarian , and there are no local pg as it is on a highway.
Admission
Like if I had chance now to choose other colleges then also i would choose NIT because of the placements, internship, network, the nit tag like it has many merits so it's better instead of choosing a private college with cs it's better to choose nit with lower branches as the ctc would be same.
Faculty
Like there are quiz which happen every 4 th week of 20 or 25 marks which have a weightage of about 10% and then mid sem of 20% and end sem of 50% weightage. The professors are well learned but then don't know how to teach, so If you go and contact them then they will definitely clear your doubts and help you. Also you can take up projects under them which is the best thing.
Night Life
Yeah gym are there like two , one is the new one and other is old , equipments are available also there are night canteens available but mainly would get nonveg there and for 2 nd , 3 rd year there are no timings for entering into hostels but main gate it's recently made 12 pm i guess and best place to visit is beach and light house.
