Likes

There will be events for every week and it is very good
There is a beach in our college which is nice to explore
There is a good placement in our college

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not soo good as it is a old college
The faculty staff are so strict and some are good
As we'll be having events every week we don't have time to study

Course Curriculum Overview

I am having intrest in machines and I have a good hold in physics and thermodynamics so I choosed this course The teaching methods in our college is very good as the faculty are from top nit and iits The examination are very tough we need a good preparation to pass

Class Size: 83Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college provide intership opportunity Many big companies like google Microsoft amazon Bosch etc provide intership opportunity to the students of our college with a very good stipend Many big projects will be done

Placement Experience

For 6th semester or 7 th semester we'll be eligible for campus placements Our college provide very good placement as it is the top 2 NIT and Top engineering college in Karnataka The highest package was 55LPA and Average package was 18LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tution fees for 1 semester is 62500 For 1 year it will be 125000. There is admission fee, development fees , lab fees which might be around 10-15k There is fees waiver for students of SC ST and PWD category

Campus Life

There will be a technical fest named ENGINEER which will be in October and a cultural fest INCIDENT which will during March INCIDENT is the biggest fest in south India The campus life is very good as we have very big ground and a big sports complex a beach and tourist place like Udupi gokarna manglore etc

Hostel Facilities

We have 12 boys hostel and 7 girls hostel For 1 years the rooms will be alloted with 3 sharing and for 2nd years it will 2 sharing for 3rd and 4th years it will be single sharing The food quality is average The non veg mess is good but the veg is not so good As our college only have hostel the affordability is cheap and the process is when we get admitted to college well get

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

As our college is NIT we need to crack jee mains to get admission in our college. I'm from Karnataka so I choosed NITK because I'll be having home state advantage during admission and I'll be in my own state which is very beautiful

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:65. The relationship between the student and the faculty Is very good we can approach faculties whenever we need Most of the faculty are very cool except some department they are very strict

Night Life

The night life in NITK is awesome as we have a big campus we can roam The gym is very big it is in new sports complex. We have 2 library with AC and it have many number of books And another library is construction going on which might complete on 2026 which is south India's biggest library As we have a beach near our college we can hangout there We have a resto bar named as RED ROCK.

Placement Experience:

Google, Amazon, Microsoft and basically all than FANG companies are our top recruitment members. Microsoft though tops the chart and their Bangalore wing has majority students from MIT Manipal. As we are taught to deliver for them and our students have delivered for them time and again.

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem the students will be eligible for campus placements Companies Infosys ,Tata ,Samsung, Mercedes ,Bosch, Many more etc. Highest package was given at 6.5 lakhs And the average package will come around 3 lakhs . It's like 50 : 50 ratio where you'll get 50% of them will qualify for the placements and 50% will not qualify replacements. I just want to do Masters after my degree.

Before there was no placement but now it's improved a lot there is a company named ethnotech that came to our clg to teach us skills they have bought good company for placement and many students placed with a good package like 4 lpa to 6 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

LIFE AT NITK

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym .
