INTERNSHIPS AT NITK

Civil engineering is an evergreen branch and it like that coarse and that made me choose that. In NITK , in the first year all the branches have common coarse and it helps it to build the basics of core engineering studies in the future semisters. We also have commination coarses which prepare is for presentations, interviews, meetings etc which is overall a good experiences and much required thing. They also prepare us to apply the knowledge we have gained into practical life situations by providing internship opportunities and workshops. The frequency and timing of exams is well planned and is appreciable. The difficulty level is majorly moderate but sometimes varies from easy to tough.

There are numerous companies which provide intership opportunities and also top institutes of India like IITs, IISc Bangalore, other NITKs also provide internship to the students of our college. There are different projects undertaken and outputs are very good and helpful. These internships will be added to our resume and will be helpful during our placements. The internships provide us industrial experience which is important. The collaboration of NITK with other top institutes of India is good and it helps us get intership opportunities .

Yes. Campus placements happen in our college.The number of students who are placed in campus is high. Students are eligible for placements from 7th semester but the internships start much earlier to that. Last year 190 companies visited NITK for campus placements with leading companies in the world like Microsoft, Amazon ,oracle, Uber, samsung Adobe etc. 87% of the students got in campus placements lst year. For civil department 54.75 lakhs per annum was the highest package and 18 lakhs was the average package. There were students who got 1cr plus package also those students were form CSE and IT Department.

96800 is the tution fee + hostel fee of 8400 + around 30000 for mess but the remaining amount of mess will be refunded after completion of our coarse. iam from general category so I didn't get any concession

We have a tech fest named engineer and annual fest named incident. Tech fest is held in October and annual fest in March. The number of books in our Library are too many and we have all sort of books required. We have two libraries in our campus and one more is under construction. We have smart classes + projector in every class . Sports are given much importance in the campus, we have a freshers cup, khelo NITK competition and various number of sports competitions going on frequently. The star Indian batsman KL Rahul started playing from our campus' ground. There are many clubs including technical and cultural and it provides us to explore the fields we are interested in and find out our hidden talents. Campus Life is very good and the social atmosphere is very positive and will have a positive impact on students life

NITK has 17 different blocks of hostels . It also has different mess for veg nd non veg students. The hostels are clean and will be cleaned regularly. The quality of food is decently good. The menu is nutritious and contains varities of food . There are 2 sharing and 3 sharing rooms in different hostels. Registration for hostels and mess is done during the time of admission to college.

My admission to NITK happened through CSAB councelling. NITK is an institute of national importance and ranked 2 among NITs in India. I preferred this college because the opportunities the college provides are immense. To join NITK i had to clear JEE Mains with a very good percentile. Admission process is smooth and cooperative. For general category students to get a seat in NITK they must have a minimum percentile of around 96 , that is the cut-off. No I didn't get a rejection from any other institute.

Faculty to student ratio is 1:80. Faculties are actually helpful and approachable when needed. Till today I liked all the faculties that taught us. They made the class interactive and interesting. Exams are of moderate level....but the difficulty will vary from easy to tough also sometimes. The number of students who fail to clear the exam varies from class to class and can't be generalized. The curriculum is relevant and helpful for personality development.

Our campus hs its private beach and light house which makes the campus the most beautiful. There are 2 gyms and namy canteen at different spots. Outside public can also visit the beach but under time limited timings. We have 2 libraries and one more in unde construction. The campus is actually safe to roam at night but one has to be careful about the snakes in the campus.
