Course Curriculum Overview
The first year of the course is a bit hectic and second year is mostly about placement preparation and interviews. Once you are placed it won't be hectic at all. There are no exams only end sem project presentations in second year.
Internships Opportunities
The summer internship opportunity is very less as usually all the companies want minimum 6 month internship from M.Tech students and hence it is better to join Warangal in this case as the professors here create a lot of nuisance for internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
As I already told placement is good. Just try to keep your CGPA above 7.5-8 and you will be able to sit for hiring of all companies and rest be prepared with your DSA and core CSE concepts, Placement season is hectic but good and worthy. Few of the recruiters were Western Digital, Qualcomm and Samsung Semiconductors.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees is 35000 INR per semester. Admission fees is 1280 only for first semester. Development fees is 2560 INR for first and second semester. Refundable security deposit is 6380 INR for first semester. Total fees is 79970 for first semester, 49800 for second semester, 65640 for third semester and 48840 for final semester. This is excluding mess fees which is 32000 per semester.
Campus Life
Don't expect much from Extracurricular activities when you are going for Master's , although the college has all the facilities still you will be too busy to utilise them in first year and by the time you will get free college will be about to end.
Hostel Facilities
In first year you will get single accomodation for girls and it is a new hostel named Godavari and in second year the hostel is old and worst called Sheravathi but it is single room. Don't expect much from your second year hostel rest is fine.
Admission
I applied for all top 3 NITs based on my Rank in GATE. I put NIT Trichy CSE as my second preference and this was my first preference as I heard that the weather is very hot in NIT Trichy but I will advise to keep NITT as the first preference when filling for councelling.
Faculty
Some of the faculties are good and some are worst. The worst thing about any faculty is when they do not allow students to go for internships for their personal benefits which is very wrong and rest is fine.
Night Life
There is a gym in the sports complex. Two Night canteens are there and many small cafeterias are there inside the campus. Library is open till 1 AM. Hostel timings are not applicable for PG students so you can chill around in the campus for whole night if you want and the college timings is till 11 PM.
