Course Curriculum Overview

POWER ELECTRONICS course has 5 subjects in both 1 and 2nd semester in third semester,only internship in company fourth semester, project work with 2 subjects.

Internship particular for power electronics ROBERT BOSCH - 2 times and Robert bosch,Schneider will pay 15000pm, GE will pay 20000pm netapp will pay 37000pm remianing no stipend

for M.tech Power electronicscompanies will give eligible to attendbut most of companies won't take M.TechTCS,accenture,quest global,oracle will take M.Tech

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for one year tution fee - 24500misc. fee- 18400(including exam fee and universityu fee)for second year tution fee - 24500, misc. fee- 11400(including exam fee and universityu fee).

Fees and Financial Aid

Through MHRD, Government is providing stipend 8000pm( gate qualified)for non- gate styudents, college will provide stipend 8000pm.

There are many extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc are very good we can enjoy daily in college. College with beautiful environment feels you like nostalgic when you leave.

Hostel Facilities

Particularly, college area premises is very good and pg is very good with affordable price. For food, its awesome place to eat.

They are very good and friendly in nature. Seniors are really helpful.

Exam Structure

In first semester, there are 5 subjects and 1 labno bother about internal marksin second semester ,there are 5 subjects and 1 labno bother about internal marksfor internship and project it's cool.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

I gave first preference to RVCE, but as my rank was less compared to cut off, I was unable to get a seat in the college and I ended up getting the seat in BMSCE which was my 2nd preference.
