Course Curriculum Overview

3

The overall course curriculum is outdated but some of the courses offered are really exciting and good. 1-2 courses prepare you for certain aspects of real world applications. The teaching method is outdated, they should try to work on it. The exams are held almost monthly. At times it gets a bit hectic. Some teachers hols a grudge against you and do not give fair marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

Some 100-200 companies come to college for internship opportunities. They give an average of 20000 stipend per month. You have to day projects based on your course , interests and the requirements of the company offering the opportunity.

Placement Experience

3

The students become eligible for campus placement from 7th sem. A lot of companies visit the campus, around 300 companies visit and around 1200 offers are made. The big ones are oracle, natwest, ring central, visa. The highest package is around 35 lpa, the average is around 10 lpa. Around 65% students do get placed. My plans are to get a good job after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is nearly 270000 per year. Tution fees:240000 Exam fees:10000 Miscellaneous fees:20000 Candidates through comedk exams pay: 270000-300000 per year Kcet exams candidate pay around 100000 per year. Scholarship is only available for local SC/ST students.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest is utsav mainly held in May, the technical fest is Phase shift mostly held in December. They are okay overall. Not a lot of books are available in library. Also the ones that are available don't have a lot of copies which makes it difficult to get one during exams. Each class has a board and benches and table, some of the classes have a smart board as well . Only accessed by teachers. There isn't much sports activities in this college. The campus is too small ,same for the ground. There are 1-2 social clubs run by students.

Hostel Facilities

3

Most rooms are double sharing, each person get a bed, a table ,a chair and a cupboard. The meal quality is good. The menu is changed every two months so meals are rotated. Though only 1-2 meals are changed. Getting hostels is extremely difficult due to the great number of students and less hostels available. There are a lot of PGs near the college.

Admission

I chose this college because I wanted to pursue CSE and this college seems to be a good option to do so. I did get rejection from a few colleges because I could crack their entrance exam. To get admission here, you need to pass the entrance exam, get above 60% in your 12 th grade. Kcet is most preferred exam for students. Overall admission experience is simple and okay.

Faculty

3

Some of the faculties are good, they listen to you and try to solve your queries, others not so much. They are rude and arrogant. The faculty to student ratio is okay. The exams are not very difficult. They are medium.A good number of students pass the exams. About 10-20% fail. The course curriculum is outdated.

Night Life

3

Students aren't allowed to leave campus late at night. Students just go to classes and come back. There isn't much of a social life available. There is a small gym which is far too overcrowded. The hostel timings are 9:30 . The gates close at that time and you can't enter after. There aren't a lot of hangout spots on the college. Yeah the locality is safe to roam around at night, though it's not advisable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

The emphasis on understanding concepts rather than rote memorization contributed to a holistic learning environment. Passing exams required diligence, but the faculty's support, coupled with well-structured coursework, facilitated success. The continuous evaluation system, along with constructive feedback, encouraged improvement. Overall, the course's curriculum, faculty expertise, and evaluation mechanisms collectively fostered a robust educational experience, aligning with my career goals.
