Likes

Here I like the campus, the buildings are good looking.
The private beach belong to this college is like wow.
I like the playground, gym room, swimming pool etc.

Dislikes

The weather in this area is what I hate mostly.
Friends are good but sometimes because of language barriers you will get neglected and miss some opportunities.
If you don't know how to speak english then it will effect you in placement that's what we from northern region face problems

Course Curriculum Overview

I like thermodynamics course. The curriculum effectively covered topics like the laws of thermodynamics, energy analysis, and property relations. For real world preparation, this course provided a strong theoritical base, it could have included more practical examples and case studies to better prepare students for real world applications. The frequency of exams was appropriate, but their difficultly level could be adjusted to better align with the course material. More emphasis should be placed on understanding the underlying principles rather than rote memorization of formulas .

Placement Experience

Placement season is going on, and it's pretty good here. But I am preparing for higher studies in mtech in mechanical engineering. So I am little away from this. More than 170 companies visited till now, and still 6 months there. According to last year data 93 % students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 7th semester the fee structure is such that: hostel fees is Rs 34310 and semester fees is Rs 20360. And for 8th semester hostel fees is Rs 33790 and semester fees is Rs 6620. Now, for scholarship, you can apply in various scholarships like NSP, State scholarship, and non- government scholarship but you will get only one scholarship.

Campus Life

On social aspects, my overall experience was very nice. peoples are good. Technical fest is called Engineer where different clubs take participate and shows there talent. And the annual fest is called incident, where celebrities come and perform here.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good for BTech 3rd year and 4th year because these students can stayed in mega tower. This rooms are single bed and designs are good. In first year and second year either you have to stay in double shared room or triple shared room. Some mess meal qualities are good and same is opposite to other mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 64000 per year

Admission

I choose this college as the nirf rank was 10th. The college has private beach. Here placement is good. And I came here to improve my English language as I came from Assam. I didn't choose other colleges. I was sure that according to previous cut off marks I will get chance to admit in this college.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:5 . Most of the faculties are good. Yeah they are approachable too. The best faculty I like is balan sir, he is our faculty advisor. Ofcourse he teaching is good and he keeps good relationship with the students.

Night Life

There are two gyms, one is called old gym which is between the three mega hostel. The other one is new gym, where it is located in new sports complex. Campus timing is 11:00 pm. If you come late then you have to entry your name and phone number, and also you must show coll ege 'd card .

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Deloitte, Oracle and many tech companies like them are in agreement with our college for placements. Our college has a great placements opportunities as even after so many CSE students, 70% students every year gets placed with packages as high as 30 lakhs even.

Placement Experience:

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

"BIET Davanagere: A Hub of Opportunities with Room for Improvement"

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

IIT Dharwad Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.

LIFE AT NITK

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym . Great campus life with good placement and private beach, a place like heaven for engineering

After the cutfoffs are released by CSAB i got a seat in NITK, Information Technology. I prefered this college because of the campus (private beach), placements statuts, and seniors recommondation. After seat allotment from Jossa we get a reporting period. On that day we can complete the Admission Process. nitk- a college you can go for

This was the best college i could get with my jee rank. so i chose it, i was also interested in electronics. also location of college was convenient for me for travel to home. to get National Institute of Technology Karnataka u need a really good score in JEE (easier said than done), reservation also play a role whether u get your prefred college. there is also luck involved in the paper that u got for your mains. with a rank below 10k you can get this college. higher the rank better the branch you can apply for.
