Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was good for all the courses. We cant say that course prepares for real world or not, it depends person to person what are they gonna do in future. If students want to do Masters, yes some courses were really good. But not related to job perspective. And there were elective courses also you can choose the course according to your interest.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internship in college. Some of them were Hugosave, Iambesideyou, Dvara Solutions, Doctorspectra, EagleEyeNetworks etc, and stipend was between 5000 to 50000. They all were for software engineering. For EE and ME also some came.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees I paid per semester - 40000 (not included Tuition Fee) Tuition fee was 1 lakh There are many scholarship schemes like based on merit and financial conditions of the Student using which students get the reimbursement of their tuition fee. There are some other scholarships also can see on college website.
Campus Life
There are so many tech and cultural and sports clulbs in the college. Music club, Quiz club, Literary Club, Coding club etc. These clubs organise many events and competition for students. These clubs help students in making their interests develop and encourage them to try new things.
Hostel Facilities
As IIT Dharwad is new and their campus is also new so the rooms are really good. But there is always wifi issues. Mess food is Ok Ok not too good not too bad. Breakfast is good actually in mess if you want to wake up for breakfast ????. For UG students it is compulsory to stay in campus. PG students can rent anywhere in city but that is like 15km away from campus.
Admission
I applied for this college because I knew I will not get better college in the Rank I got in JEE Advanced. The admission process for this college is after clearing JEE Advanced, fill up your choices in JOSAA counseling and if you got this college and you want to study here freeze it. After that you will receive mail from college regarding admission process. You will need ur documents like marksheet of 10th and 12th, aadhar card, medical certificate,? TC, etc.
Faculty
In one semester there are two main exams - Midsem exams and Endsem exams. Apart from them assignments and vivas and Quizzes are also taken by professor. It was easy to approach any faculty you can talk to them in class after class anytime obviously during working hours. I liked every professor in college they were good, its just some was way too strict.
