- as our college is newly constructed i liked the hostel rooms which are brand new
- i liked the infrastructure of the college
- and the facilites provided by the college like gym,indoor sports facility and wellness centre
Dislikes
- the course structure because we will have 1/3rd of the year as holidays that is 4 months
- the placements,as this is the new IIT placements are quite less
- i didn't like the college loction because as we know dharwad is a small town they are very less chill out areas
Course Curriculum Overview
As the IIT DHARWAD is under the mentorship of IIT BOMBAY the curriculum is modelled and structured by IIT Bombay.The areas of improvement will be placements and some courses need updates.talking about exams we will have 2quizzes+1 midsem + 1endsem + assignments per subject
Internships Opportunities
the companies that visit IIT DHARWAD for offering Internships will be Tech companies.So CSE people have more chance to get internships than compared to core branches.and we can do projects under proffesors to gain practical knowledge
Placement Experience
IIT DHARWAD offers decent placements but you need to study hard to get that Jobs.placements begin in prefinal year. Companies like Texas, accenture, orchid visits our college .in recent years the highest package was 52 lakh and average stood at 12 lakhs .My plans after getting degree will be doing job or persue Mtech
Fees and Financial Aid
per a semester we are paying 150000 so there will be teo semesters per year so total we are paying approx 300000 per a year.This is for general category for SC/ST/Pwd the fee structure will be different.For SC/ST/Pwd the fees will be approx 36500 per semester and 73000 per month and OBC,SC,ST people get scholorship also
Campus Life
campus life at IIT DHARWAD is very unique and memorable experience.The cultural fest Harshtaal usually held in march and technical fest PARSEC usually held in January and there will be some fun nights on weekends.the library is well equipped.Proffesors refer us books which will be available in library.the classrooms are well equipped with Projector,mike,stage and benches and chairs
Hostel Facilities
as IIT DHARWAD is new campus.and my batch is 2nd batch who are enjoying new facilites in permanent campus so the hostel facilities are very good equipped with modern things.The registration process is easy if you have all documents.
Admission
i applied for some other NIT'S,IIIT's like NIT Trichy,IIIT Hyderabad,IIT bhilai,and some other institutions.I choosen IIT DHARWAD for an IIT tag and as this college is under the mentorship of IIT Bombay i thought to choose this college.and I missed IIT's like Roorkee,Delhi because of my JEE ADVANCE rank
Faculty
in IIT DHARWAD The Faculty to student ration will be like around 1:10.And maximum all poffesors will be very good as they all compledted their Ph.D in top IIT'S. i can't disclose the proffesoor names here.they will be 1 exam each subject per a month.If we talk about one subject first we will have a quiz exam and then mid semester and then 1 more quiz and then end semster exam
Night Life
the nightlife will be very chilling in IIT DHARWAD.you will see people all around campus even at 3'o clock roaming around campus and eating in canteen.the gym stays open upto 12:00AM and the campus last in time is 11:00 PM.and there are no specific timings for hostel entry
