All the new IITs are almost similar in terms of education, opportunities, placements, and crowd. So the most crucial factor is the location. Nevertheless, IIT Dhanbad is a better option and there are numerous reasons to claim so. It’s the best location for CSE students as it’s well-connected to many IT hubs in the country. Which one is better , IIT Dharwad or IIT Tirupati, for CSE?

IIT Tirupati was started in 2015, and IIT Dharwad in 2016. As a student of CSE at IIT Dharwad, I can give you some details on my branch/college- The CSE branch at IIT Dharwad receives internship offers from well-known companies like McAfee, Microsoft, Google, and some well reputed academic institutes. The CSE students qualify for GSoC in decent numbers, and the Open Student Society of IIT Dharwad conducts an Open Source Contribution Event during the summers. It is called ‘Summer of Innovation’, and it receives participants from across India, including the OS society of IIT Kharagpur. Dharwad is well-connected to major IT hubs- Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. IIT Dharwad is backed by a huge incubation center based in Hubli called Sandbox Startups. Based on my experience, I can assure you a rich learning environment at the IIT Dharwad CSE department.

Fee is same for all the B.tech courses. For General, EWS, and OBC students, the tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester, and hostel, mess fees, and other charges sum up to around 40,000. However, if your family income is than 1 LPA, then tuition fee is waived off and you only pay for hostel, mess, and other charges. If your family income is between 1-5 LPA, you get a 2/3rd fee waiver in the tution fees and the hostel, mess and other charges remain the same. For SC/ST students tution fee is completely waived off regardless of family income and they only pay for hostel and mess and other charges. The Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship is given to students who are in the top 25% of their batch academically and have a family income less than 4.5 lakhs, and in this full tution fee is waived off.

as a obc category student i had no scholarship due to not elegible for income creteria , in first semseter i paid around 1.35 lakh + 35000 for seat conformation , in second semester i not yet paid , they hasnt informed complete data about it ,for registration we have to nearly 50000

Fees I paid per semester - 40000 (not included Tuition Fee) Tuition fee was 1 lakh There are many scholarship schemes like based on merit and financial conditions of the Student using which students get the reimbursement of their tuition fee. My best 4 years

The fees structure is like 4lakh per semester and you will have 8 semesters in 4 years so quite expensive but you will get loans from various banks and organisations at quite a cheap interest rate and if you perform well in exams you will surely get scholarships also so it may cost you free Hdfc bank scholarship i avail to pay my fees

There are three types of scholarships Merit cum needs Sc/st Mess fee reduction. They all require you to either have a reservation or you need to be under the poverty line below 5 lahks per annum income.

Fees here are a little high but here we are provided with the benefits of scholarships like Remission which is for those who are not in the financial condition to pay the fee based on the student's family income a student is supposed to pay his/her fee. The next type of scholarship is based on merit that whether the student is in the top 10% of his batch or not if he is then the tuition fee is relaxed.

The tuition Fee for a general student at IIT Dharwad is 1 lakh per sem and 25k for other expenses which include hostel and mess food, if you belong to SC and ST caste then there is total remission in tuition fee and you have to pay only for mess food and hostel. If you belong to general and obc and your family income is less than 1 lakh then there is a total remission in tuition fee and if your family Income is less than 5 LPA then you get a remission of 2/3 of tuition fee

Every year, I was required to pay an amount of 230000 for the fee for the course. After this, no other amount was necessary to pay because it had covered all the amount of the tuition fee, course fee etc. I had not gotten any scholarship from the university as I was not looking for it from day one of the admission.
