The hostel facilities at IIT Dharwad are well-equipped and maintained, offering separate accommodations for boys and girls. Rooms are spacious and available with single, double, and triple occupancies, with options for 2 to 4 people sharing. The infrastructure includes attached bathrooms, 24/7 electricity, water, and high-speed WiFi. The fee per semester is approximately Rs 8500, with an additional Rs 1000 security deposit. The mess provides a variety of cuisines, including Chinese, Italian, North Indian, and South Indian, served four times a day, though non-veg options have been removed.

The mess food is hygienic and of good quality. The hostel includes common rooms with indoor games facilities, such as table tennis and carrom, and is equipped with LCD TVs. The newly built campus and hostels ensure modern amenities, with the girls’ hostel funded by Infosys Foundation. Hostel allocation follows a chit system, and all undergraduate students are required to reside on-campus.
