Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum is kind of old, the modern practical type of thinking making oriented subjects should be there like suyeing lab is there in another sem, the theory is in this sem about how can we do it practically...(WHY ?) Civil - more mechanics, buliding materials and practical work related visits should be there not just brief geology part syllabus as we just mug up so many thing and understand, analyse and apply very very little ... Lab record writing is also very time taking and useless for the students... For the betterment u can take viva ask question related to concept building regarding the labs the material is already provided online then why we have to write by seeing it from online and write in the record book... That's how it's going and that's how it will go till we will do nothing regarding this thing...

Internships Opportunities

4

I am in the second year don't know much about the internships but definitely I have seen many seniors and talked with about teh different fields related internships eithe the work experience oriented or the research field oriented...

Placement Experience

3

From 4 year placement is available for 6sem end and 7sem starting... Civil core related placements are mostly towards govt. services oriented and less towards private sector...but for the other branches circital and others the placement is running low right now because of the heavy recession is going right now... You are able to get the degree but even after getting nice knowledge and being skilled you are not able to placed due to circumstances...

Fees and Financial Aid

1st SEM Fees (during admission many one time only from second sem onwards - tution fees, library fees, hostel fees... Only will be there) Tution fees -62500 Library fees - 1000 Development fees - 2000 Security deposit - 5000 Alumni association - 2000 Convocation fee - 2000 Health care facility -1000 Students activities fees - 3500 Swimming pool - 1000 Campus amenities - 1000 Group insurance coverage of students - 426 Central Computing Facilities - 2500 Hostel Fees - 6000

Campus Life

4

For books readers --> massive library is there For sport people --> nice sports facilities are there For gym type people (like me) --> nice gym facility is also there Mess food definitely need the improvement Syllabus should be revised , from remembering & theory to learn practically & apply... This drift should be there... More time should be given for extracurricular activities... The infrastructures are good...

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are also good, but the mess food need to be improved as we students are paying 30000/- for 3.5 -4 month sem for the mess and not getting value for money thing then that's not an good impression regarding the mess facilities...all basic facilities are provided in the room.

Admission

I reached upto this college by the jee mains exam getting decent rank... This is one of the best college for the exposure, extracurricular activities, wonderful facilities and everything but the thing is it is very hectic you will get time for anything other then just syllabus coverage... For more than concept building it is more than syllabus coverage...

Faculty

4

There many professors who are talented and equally good and God at teaching skills but some of the professors are just teaching for the name --> zero understanding no output ... We can't even complain against him because if knew the students who complained about them he is going to ruin the marks of different subjects that comes under his department... (I am not mentioning the name of faculty just for the safety reasons...) The exam patterns are also kind of woogy as we are having really short sems and the exams are just spreaded throughout the sem in not much gaps... Weightage Quiz 1- 10% Mid sem - 30% Quiz 2 - 10 % Assignment 1- 5% Assignment 2- 5% End Sem - 40% I think there will be only two exams should be there... As sem is short 3.5-4 month one mid sem in theid of the sem and the other end sem after 1.5-2 month gap (at the end of the sem) it will give more time to explore or study about any topic deeply...

Placement Experience:

After completion of the course students are divided to teachers and the food industries are come to college and interview us and the student is eligible they can select. Some standard food related companies are visited nestle, ITC mysore , sulawines and some other companies also. The CGPA of the students is 7.5 or more is good below this also get selected but more than 7.5 is good. My plan is after completion of course then do work and get some experience in the industries and some of the time I am going to select a product and launch it over the world.

They start conducting placements activities from the 2nd year itself like AMCAT preparation, skillrack, etc. So the students become eligible for campus placements from 7th sem itself. Many companies like TCS, Diggibyte, Zoho, etc. and the offers are from 3 lakh to 16 lakh per annum. Percentage of students getting placements are about 90% My plan is to get into the IT sector as i have an interest to explore and enhance my technical skills

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

From 6th sem students are eligible for placement and for intership even 3rd and 4th sem students are eligible to apply if they are well skilled. Recently JP Morgan visited in our college for summer internship no students got selected due to low skill,l. I our college the highest package was 34LPA in 2023 and average package was 7LPA. Almost 70-75% students got placed in their 8th sem. My plan after getting the degree I want build an startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
