Our campuses first ever placements are going on right now. Students are eligible for placements from 4th year only. 3rd year they can get internship offers which can turn into placement offers. Currently the highest package achieved by students is 35lpa. Which for the first ever placement is pretty good. The placements are still going on with big companies like nvidia, oracle, Amazon, Flipkart, bigbasket etc. the average package will be around 8-10 lpa once fully completed. As it's still going on the % of students who will be placed is hard to tell. I plan on working for 2 years from my placement and try going abroad for masters.
First year 3.25 lakh from 2nd year onwards 5.09 lakh per year in total. First year: Caution deposit: 10000 Tution fees: 204000 Other academic fees: 121000 2nd-4th: Tution fees: 318000 Other academic fees: 191000 Fees for other categories are the same as only computer science is available currently
I was forced to stay in a college in Bangalore by my parents. The only other colleges I would've gone for is pes and RV which I didn't computer science in due to lack of preparation and bad exams. I was first skeptical as Manipal Bangalore is a new college and had no history of placements so i was contemplating taking ece in pes. But after campus visit and seeing the infrastructure it convinced me to come to this college seeing how well it was. We are promised centralized placements with main campus to it was a very appealing choice I was not getting CS in any other college as well so taking this seemed like a no brainer. To get into Manipal you have to write MET which is the entrance exam for the all Manipal campuses. For my batch you just had to write the exam while having above 50% in boards. That was all the requirements. Your seat was completely decided by MET. But for the next batch onwards they started taking 50% boards and 50% MET into consideration when getting your rank, so now there is a slight change. For my batch the cutoff for getting any case specializstion was around 19k but for next batch it dropped by a lot to around 10k. Admission process was very easy with a pretty functional website and quick response from the college
Internships are mostly outside campus, not much is available for in campus internship opportunities. Some student projects involve games apps and websites. The college does help you into getting internships just not directly
I really like coding and making applications from a child.Hence I chose this course The curriculum does an okay job of preparing you for real world applications. Not the best there are many areas in which it can be improved. The first year almost is a waste, it's feels like you are redoing 12th grade and although it is a foundational year i feel you could do much more than what is currently done. Coding language and coding in general is still being done through writing it. The final exams for coding subjects are written down rather than executed using a compiler. I feel this is useless as no where in the real world will you write down code instead of executing it in a compiler. The teaching methods are pretty good with each class having a projector and readily available material with the Manipal osf teams page. Some teachers still treat the students like they are in school instead of treating them like college students. The exams are almost perfectly times with the exams coming in a flow. The quiz is around 3-4 weeks into college while the midsem is around 2 months into college. The assignment is usually submitted around 3 months into college and at last the endsems are 4 months into college. Difficuly scale from 1-10: Quiz: 4 Midsem: 6 Assignment: 5 Endsem: 8
Hostels are excellent and worth the price. Bathrooms are well maintained and room service can be called anytime. Meal quality is average as expected from a college mess Registration and hostel booking is also well detailed and easy. Although prices may not be affordable for everyone. Once you get admission the hostel booking will be opened. The students with better ranks get to choose their rooms first and then the other students get to choose next
The faculty to student ratio is very good. There are many professors for the students. Faculty like Arun Kumar sir and Manjunath sir are some of the best. Even sunny sir and sneha maam are very good and interactive teachers who make me understand the subject. Some teachers like soumya sir and Aditya sir are not likeable at all. They are strict for very silly and dumb things and overall bring the mood of the class down and don't teach in a way the students want to learn. There's 3 exams to calculate your final grade with an assignment. The quiz and midsem being 10% and 30% of your grade respectively. The assignment being 10% as well. The final endsem being the only one you can fail causing you to get a backlog. The endsem is 50% of your grade. Quiz and midsem are relatively easy while the endsem is pretty difficult. If you do fail your endsem then you get to write a makeup before getting a backlog. The makeup is generally easier but can be tricky rarely. The first year seems pretty much like 12th and doesn't really help you develop the coding and engineering skills required. Although it's a foundational year i believe they should do more into the field. 2nd year onwards it starts actually feeling like you are doing engineering
There are many many events happening in campus. Since MAHE has so many departments each departments have their own fests and events along with zolo events who are the hostel providers. Falak being the mit fest is one of the biggest events in campus. Then there is the tech fest hosted by the college as well. Garba night, club events, concerts and exhibitions are also held by each and every department. Too many times name each one individually. The actual library is not yet built, so the current library is relatively small with only books relating to our course being there. Facilities are pretty good and the tech in the campus is very up to date. Easy to use and functional. Each class has a projector and every student has an ergonomic chair. Almost every sport is available to play on campus. Some are free whole some require payment to access the sports. Sports facilities are well maintained and good quality. Football, volleyball, tennis and basketball being the most played in the college. The club culture of the campus is not very good. Since the college is relatively new the clubs have not completely developed but this offers opportunity for new comers to create their own clubs and have good opportunities.

Manipal was way above vit , I didn't secure a good enough seat in bits as I lacked mathematics score. Manipal is miles ahead of vit as this place is more students centric and has better opportunities. MET Exam must be given in order to secure a seat at manipal

I had got into SRM and VIT Bhopal . SRM i did not consider as it was an online admission exam , which many students had used unfair means to get their rank , this caused me to pick manipal as i believed it would have a better crowd . VIT bhopal does not have as big as a name as manipal moreover it was in my hometown hence i chose this collge . I had a good enough rank to get ECE in main campus of MANIPAL but i chose bangalore as i was getting computer science here and i am passionate about this subject . I didnt get into IIT's or NIT's or BIT's as i feel i did not put enough effort in my studies and these exams require rigourous studies . Manipal's entrance exam or MET , is an on-site online exam , mcq based (+4,-1). The eligibility criterea when i had joined was a 50% in Physics math and an optional subject in Class 12 examination . I had got a rank of 11k and the cut off for my course was 12k . Once MET is written and ranks are out the counselling process starts where you opt for your preferred course and various rounds take place ,once your rank comes you will be alloted your course
I had appeared for jee and other private institutes but couldn't make through. I chose this college because of the manipal tag. The admission process very simple. You have to appear for the MET exam that is scheduled twice a year. You will then be selected based on your merit
MIT bangalores curriculum stood out for its up to date focus in cybersecurity topics as well as good balance between theory and practical lab sessions. MIT bangalore has solid industry ties and i knew this would be beneficial for internships and networking opportunities. From speaking to current students and alumni I learned that MIT bangalore offers a supportive and engaging environment.

To get into this college you should write MET which is conducted by manipal it self there is no other way of getting admission like donation and all are not encouraged but you can get admission in international quota which cost way more than normal the cutoff is close to main branch which is around 12000 for ece if you want good branches like ai or core you should be below 7000.I choose this college because its in banglore so we have many opportunities and its less crowded i also got in vit vellore and srm but they are very very crowded and they get placed in a mass recruitment manner which is not seen in our campus and i didn't make it jee as i couldn't make it general cutoff which is 96 percentile and all other colleges are too crowded
You have to write MET exam to get into this university. I have also applied for Amrita for AI.DS course but due to a counselling process I was unable to secure the desired seat I was expecting in the desired college. So I have opted for MIT Banglore.
I've got admission into SRM , Mahindra,Woxsen, Symbiosis.I choose my college on all this because of the brand value of Manipal and also the infrastructure and the liberty given to students and much more and also our college conducts many events throughout the year.
Admission process is pretty simple. We write the Manipal Enterance test and based on the ranking in that we get alloted a seat in a particular branch. Application for the exam can be found in the MAHE website and the exam is conducted in 2 phases every year. Difficulty level is medium.
