NITK: The college for the best

Dislikes

In semesters, the college is working even on saturdays, to avoid the stay here when there is water scarcity. Accelerating the semester makes it hard to catch up
The evaluation is continuous, which makes the student hard to focus on extra curricular activities.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The average fee per year is about 1400000, including the hostel and mess fees, whereas the institute fees alone is about 80000 per year. This increases every year according to the regulations. For students whose annual income of the family is less than 1 lakh, the tuition fees is waived off and for students with an annual income less than 3 lakh, the tuition fees is halved. Students with reservations such as OBC, SC/ST have their complete tuition fees waivered off.

Academics for freshers is well planned. It is wide spread in different fields so that student can get his/her interest.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition is 62500 for a semester. Which sums as 500000. Then there are are other charge which include one-time charges and per year charges. Other fees will increase by 5% every year. Mess and hostel fees is around 35000 per semester. Total fees for a year is around 2 lacks. It includes everthing. Many scholarships are there such as merit cum scholarship and many are based on caste. So ST-SC-Pwd can avail them. Other than this, 100% tution fee remession is provided to students having family income less than 1 lack per annum or if they are ST-SC-Pwd. 2/3 tuition fee remession is for student having family income less than 5 lack per annum. I think there is no campus employement here.

Tution fee,service fees and other compulsory charges for a student ,who is not eligible to take any scholarships is 90000 and hostel fee will be 32000 generally. There may be some variations for even and odd sem. For sc, st and other students who are eligible for scholarships need to only pay hostel fee.

There are tution fees , institute fees, mess fees, etc to be paid every semester during the admission. My total fees payment ranges around 40000 per semester. There are many scholarships given to the students to support the financial status . I have not undertaken any campus employments.

Here there is portal called IRIS which avail student- student ans student-institution interaction. Scholarshipa and jod everything will be available there and student council also make note of those everytime. Fee structure is clearly mentioned in nitk portal we even check on same not any other source .

Academics are quite good and difficult in this campus and I feel these would help students to grow better.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution is 62,500 and hostel fees including mess would be around 35,000 for each semester. So It will be total 1,25,000 for tution fess anf 70,000 for hostel and mess. There is fee waiver offered by college as this is central government institute based on annual income. For students whose family income is less than 100000 there will be no tution fee. If it is less than 500000, 2/3 rd of tution fee is waived. There are scholarships as well for 1st year students such as Reliance , NSP , FFE ,etc...

donot know about hike policy and all but fee vary for reservation categories for me fee was 262000 for the first year including 62000 hostel fee yeah you have many scholarships here many here have some scholarship well i don't have one
