Government College of Engineering (GECH) was established in the year of 2007 along with an aim to provide a creative atmosphere for studies, training, research, publication & extension work of relevance both amongst the students and the faculty. In the year of 2007-08 the Government of Karnataka under Department of Technical Educational was established 10 Engineering Colleges and GEC is one of them. The college has four engineering branches such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. It has a training and placement cell for students which cater the needs of our outgoing students. Infosys, TCS Technology, HCL, Accenture and Wipro are the companies which have been visited for in campus placements.
