College of Agriculture in Hassan, Karnataka was set up with an aim to enhance agricultural education by imparting education, research and training in the field of Agriculture and food science technology. It was started to help the rural society in particular by developing such manpower, which can be trained in this field and genuine farming methods to enhance the agricultural production. College of Agriculture is offering Bachelor degree programmers in Agriculture, Agriculture Biotechnology and Food Science technology. This institution provides its students a hands-on-experience on agricultural fields and emphasize on experimental learning.

How to Travel	Nearest Airport is in Bangalore or Mangalore which are over 160 kms away. 13 minutes from Channarayapattna Railway Station Due to its location on NH48, it is well- connected by roadways.

Admission:

In Karnataka there is only 2 govt Food technology colleges. 1 is Dharwad university and 2nd is Hassan college. I choose the Hassan college because, the Hassan college is under GKVK( Gandhi krushi vignana Kendra) this is top agriculture University in Karnataka. That's why I choose the Hassan college for the food technology course. And here education is also good.

Class room are very good and clean atmosphere.

Dislikes

Regarding education all is good but we face problems regarding transportation.
Over crowded in class room because we have hundreds students in class room.
Except these two all facilities are good.

Class strength is high and ratio of boys and girls are equal 1:1

location of college which is outside the city ,which is more comfortable to study .the ratio of boys and girls are 2:3
collages often have state-of art facilities, libraries, and sports encouragement

i appelied only for college of agriculture hassan and i got conformed in the 2nd round of councling through kcet.i choose this college because thid collage have the facilities and research for food technoligest. i do not applied for any other colleges. the addmission process be like- 1.the person slould be applied for the kcet. 2.you should write the exam 3.results will be announced 4.document verification will be done 5.councling through online 6.college will be selected

COA with lot pros than cons

Admission:

Yes, absolutely anyone interested to join our college need to get through CET(COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM)and there is a provision for MANAGEMENT SEAT worth 6.65 lakhs per year for BSc (Hons) Agriculture and 4lakh per year for B.tech food and biotechnology. Cutoff for BSc (Hons) Agriculture is below 10000 rankings, for Btech(food technology) and Btech(biotechnology) it ranges from 15000 to 30000 ranking through CET. The ICAR(INDIAN COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH) examination is also taken through for admission process.

College of Agriculture offers three under graduation degree programs. It offers a B.Sc. in Agriculture for a duration of three years. B.Tech. is offered with two specializations- Biotechnology and Food Science & Technology for a duration of four years. To be eligible for admission to any of the above-mentioned programs, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification. Admission to the same will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance exam.
