UG Admission 2024: Candidates admitted under CUET / ICAR 2024 in Rounds 1, 2 & 3 must report to the allotted institute on October 4, 2024. The last date for the Round 4 admission process is September 28, 2024. The physically reporting to the institute for Round 4 candidates is scheduled on October 9, 2024.
College of Agriculture was started in 1996 for the Hassan district. Initially, due to some constraints in the infrastructure, the classes were conducted at GKVK Campus, Bangalore. Subsequently the new campus at Karekere, Hassan was established in 2006.
College of Agriculture offers three under graduation degree programs. It offers a B.Sc. in Agriculture for a duration of three years.
B.Tech. is offered with two specializations- Biotechnology and Food Science & Technology for a duration of four years.
To be eligible for admission to any of the above-mentioned programs, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification. Admission to the same will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance exam.

Yes, absolutely anyone interested to join our college need to get through CET(COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM)and there is a provision for MANAGEMENT SEAT worth 6.65 lakhs per year for BSc (Hons) Agriculture and 4lakh per year for B.tech food and biotechnology. Cutoff for BSc (Hons) Agriculture is below 10000 rankings, for Btech(food technology) and Btech(biotechnology) it ranges from 15000 to 30000 ranking through CET. The ICAR(INDIAN COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH) examination is also taken through for admission process.
I was too much interested in horticulture, as iam from a agricultural background, And this college was very good to get knowledge, to reach my aim it was very necessary to join this course and this college
Agri Biotechnology is one of the farm science course. It has very broad scope. and I also have very intrest in farm & agriculture related studies. And I join this college through entrance exam i. e CET (Common entrance test).
I got the admission through KCET. There is no interviews conducted. The process is you get selected based on your option entry and your ranking as well as cut off of the college. We enter the preferred list of college through online entry, the college is allotted based on cutoff. The whole process is online. The fee payment of college is through an app. The process is quite easy
I erote kea entrance exam and i want to join agriculture that time but i didn't get thats why my 2nd chance is food technology so i put food technology as my 2nd option in option entry process through this i get seat under university of agriculture sciences gkvk Bengaluru.
Through CET, as soon as KCET results came we have to go for option entry, then if we have good marks we get this college if we opted this college in option entry, then pay fee to kcet about 20000 then get the admission order from kcet website and give to this college. And give suitable documents which we produce through cet verification then join the college.
After completing our pre university college we have to write a Common Entrance Test conducted by our State Examination Board. To get a entrance in our college they will take 50% of our Common Entrance Test performance and 50% of our PUC marks.Even ICAR exam is there to get admission.
Through ICAR entrance exam at all India level.There is reservation of 15% seats of particular degree course in the universities of India that are linked with ICAR council.So after scoring marks in exam(merit list), students will get admission on different agricultural universities in India based on their all India rank and also based on their category rank.
1.KCET is the mandatory for getting seat in proffetional degrees like engeneering, medical, agriculture, horticulture, dental, veterinary etc. 2.I wrote KCET in 2013 after completing my 2nd year puc 3.I got KCET agriculture rank around 6800-6900 4.Through option entry i selected many agriculture colleges across the state 5.As per My ranking i got bsc(agriculture )seat at college of agriculture hassan 6.I didnt go for 2nd round option entry as I was satisfied with the seat allotment
The college is good to learn and there are many good opportunities for the students here. The students get a great external knowledge.
