IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 7th semester student become eligible for campus placement but many of students get pre placement offers after their internship in 6th semester. Talking about number of companies visited might more then 50 or more then that i don't know much about that. Popular companies visited are Google, Microsoft, taxes Instruments, samsung, Reliance, vedanta, flipkart, Amazon, phonepe , Salesforce, Infosys, Tata motor, Mahindra, and many more. Talking about heighest package that is 1- 1.5 cr pa. And average package may be around 30 lakh. Now percentage of student placements is 70 percent. My plan is build and startup after getting degree

7 th and 8th semester students can sit for campus placement .google ,microsoft ,samsung ,tata steel ,jsw ,texas etc many companies visit here more than 80 % students get placed here highest package is around 80 lakh as my knowledge and average is 20 lakh for 2023-24 batch . i will become eligible for campus placement next year and will try to get a decent package

Students are offered internships in their 5th semester and companies are opened on superset. Around 500 have got interned out of 1100 batch and 800 got placed out of 1100 and some have plans for international studies as well. Good thing is students have been placed in core companies as well which is good for someone who is not interested in coding. For electrical students have been placed in well reputed companies like Texas Instruments , Jaguar Land Rover, Reliance and JSW Steel. Hightest package received is 55 LPA and averga package is 16 LPA.

Placements are pretty decent.I would not say everyone gets placed, but almost everyone gets placed.If you are sincere from beginning, you are sure to make it and perform well in the intern and placement season

The average package is 16.98 LPA for this branch. Mostly the profiles for which companies visit this college is SDE and Developer. Companies visit for Data Science and ML-AI related roles but the number is less. Placement percentage in this branch is nearly 100%

Stiudents pursuing BTech degree become eligible for cmapus placements in 7th semster and for Int MTech it is 9th semester. Companies like amazon, microsoft, goldmn sachs, accenture visits for the cmpus placements. 55 lakhs was the highest package offered and 19.8 lakhs is the average package. about 82% were placed.

Course curriculum is properly framed and aims to develop interest of the field and roots the concepts step by step. Few courses are really tough and they could be made interesting by introducing practicals in that subject like electronic devices. Some courses like microprocessors are really interesting and moderately difficult. I think more labs should be there as compared to theory subjects because labs gives a better idea of the topic and also creates a good impact of the course.

The campus placements in my college are pretty good. Even if you are not placed in campus placements, it is not that hard to get a job outside of campus placements. All this is keeping in mind that the CGPA is above 8, and the person has good knowledge. Placement percentage is above 75 on average. Highest package in electrical is around 45 lakhs whereas average package is 19 lakhs. My plans after getting degree is to start a robotics company.

Few get it from 3rd year and others from 4rth year. A total of 254 companies offered jobs some were Tata, newzera tech labs pvt. Ltd etc. 1054 job offers were made last year and 11 international job offers too. About 70% of btech students are getting placed. After getting a degree I will be doing a job.

The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad (IIT Dhanbad) has a good placement record, with many national and international companies visiting the campus for recruitment. In 2024, the placement rate for BTech and MTech was 69.97% and 54.13%, respectively. The highest placement percentage was 84% for the CSE branch.
