IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Our college offers very good placements and also some good amount of packages to students. There are other opportunities also like entrepreneurship. If anybody has an innovative idea about starting a startup then our college pays funds to the individual as well as experts in his field guides him for future.

The placement session are very good here , many companies come and take students in bulk. They get several job roles. The average package offered in my branch is 30 LPA, the maximum was 84 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon , Google , Microsoft, Accenture and Texas Instruments.

The student with cg more than 8 gets eligible for package and companies come and give them package . Cs and mnc has approx 100 percent of placement but also some lower branch are having less ratio of placements.

Overall campus placement for IIT ISM Dhanbad is decent . Highest package till now is 1.2 cr and lowest package is 6 lpa . This year also since phase 1 of placement season completed almost 600+ students got placed with highest domestic package is 66 lakh . 80-90% students got placed in this college. If your cgpa is above 7 chances of getting placed is very high. So maintaining good cgpa is very necessary. Placement season start from oct end of 7 th sem and phase 1 of placement completes in 20-25 dec . After that phase 2 of placement starts from 4-5 january onwards . Highest package offer on day 1,2 of placement season. Since I got placed in Bharat petroleum corporation limited (BPCL) my plan is to join BPCl and then go on higher post in same company.

The course has been developed in a way that it caters both research (academic) & Industry readiness, with thorogh theoritical understanding of courses from Phuilosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Literature, with its implication in Digital Sphere. Faculties here are expert in their field and approachable . this course ahs helped me develop and helping me pursue my acadmeic pursuit. Here the exam is quite moderate but due to relative grading it is becomes frustating sometimes

Overall placements are pretty decent in our college. Companies visit for on-campus placement for final-year students from December to March April. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Uber, Axtria, Meesho, etc visit. The packages are also pretty good with an average package of 20 LPA and the highest package of 70 LPA. This year around 200 students got placement in day-1. I plan to take a decent placement in the IT field after my graduation.

In my college overall placement is quite good but is vary as per branch. Last year overall average was 16.78 lpa and of cse was about 27 lpa. From 3rd year we are eligible for internship and preplacement offers. But majorly in fourth year people got placed. Last year highest package was 56 lpa on campus. Companies like google microsoft tata reliance and nearly all known well companies come to my campus. This year on first day highest package placement offered was of 66lpa and 164 students got offers. My plan is to just explore different things in first year and work on specific interesting field in second year and secure my interest .

The placement of my college is good and there is always improvement as like this year the placements increased. The company that visited is tata, Google Microsoft etc... Highest package last year was 60 lpa and this year it was 66lpa, in my course the average package is about 23 to 25 lpa. Good placements of students most of them for placed...

My branch is electronics and Communication Engineering it has a wide range of scope in futuristic need as the demands of semiconductors will definitely increase in future so we can highly depend on electronics
