Remarks

This was the best possible option among other since in the current scenario a better branch is always preferred. It's better to be at the top tier in a decent college than to be be mediocre in a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is decent and is relevant. Though the syllabus needs an overall update as per the modern standards of things. Overall the academic load is quite manageable leaving time for other activities as well.

Internships Opportunities

Big companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, GS, Zepto, Accenture, PhonePe, Nvidia, Uber, BNY Mellon and many more visit the campus and offer high stipends. The overall stipend range on Day 0 varies from 80K-1.87L.

Placement Experience

The average package is 16.98 LPA for this branch. Mostly the profiles for which companies visit this college is SDE and Developer. Companies visit for Data Science and ML-AI related roles but the number is less. Placement percentage in this branch is nearly 100%

Fees and Financial Aid

As of now per semester the fee is 1,24,400 comprising hostel and mess fee. It has increased with time as well. An year contains 2 semesters. 1,00,000 is the tuition fee. 18,000 is the mess fee. 8,400 is miscellaneous fee. The tuition fee is waived for reservation candidates.

Campus Life

Concetto and Srijan are organised annually. Library is good and well equipped. Student run clubs are an integral part of college life. Sports facilities could be improved. Overall, ISM has its own culture which is unique.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are affordable but they need to be severely improved. Every now and then, the food has been found adulterated with stones and insects. Old hostel rooms are small and need a renovations. It's mandatory to stay in hostels.

Faculty

Some of the professors are really good and some are not which makes it a decent branch. Overall the subjects are relevant but grading is difficult due to low branch strength. There are 2 quizzes. 1 mid semester and 1 end semester exam.

Night Life

There isn't any sort of night life in the campus. Main gate is closed at 10 PM and students need to return to their hostels by 12 AM. Most of the food outlets function till 11:30. Hostel canteens function till 2:30 AM

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

The Underrated NIAMT

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after 6th semester for placement drive. Companies visited are Vedanta, JSW, Mahinda, L&T, Ashok Leyland etc and 95% of students are placed till and still few companies are yet to come. Heighest package offered was by Vedanta of 13.95LPA while lowest was from an ADC Company of 3LPA which makes the median package around 8LPA for metallurgy branch and 7LPA for Mechanical. Every year around 98% of students get placed ( Rest 2% either opt out or any seruius indisciplinary issue ) Planning to get a job first then along with preparation of GATE for PSU.

Placement Experience:

on every occasion they will charge the students, there is no good placement, every year they increase the exam fee, students are not regular its poor then government colleges just pay penalty and your attention will be full, its like correspondence course they are running huge but and regular power cuts unhealthy canteens, political motivated administration and management. There expenditure in infrastructure is huge which is best for love birds its like park or garden. Overall all not dedicated to education.

A two years review of Central University of Jharkhand

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculise fully designed on national education policy 2020. Focuses more on extracurricular activities than core subjects. Because reply is designed on the basis of UGC guidelines which is a good thing for different competitive exams that are design by UGC. I will say semesters are to short that all till now my all four semesters has been glitter in about 4 months each that should be of duration of 6 months.

Must Read before coming to IIT ISM Dhanbad

I had secured AIR 5860 in JEE Advanced, so i had applied for all CSE, ECE, ELECTRICAL, MNC and related branches in Top IITs. For my rank, I got IIT ISM Dhanbad in the last round. I had also got IIT Kharagpur Manufacturing Science, but I choosed to go for furture rounds as i thought doing a circuit branch in IITs is better. I could not make it to colleges that i wanted to as my rank was 5860 and belonging to the GENERAL category, the rank is too high to get into top branches of the top 7 IITS. The admission process is JEE Advanced, Elgibility is that u need to have good rank in JEE Advanced, the rank required varies from branch to branch but i can give you and idea, for our IIT ISM, CSE -> 2000 to 3500, MNC -> 3500 to 4500 , ECE -> 4500 to 6000 and so on....Read More
