Campus life is good and the support you get from seniors and batchmates is amazing.
Placement is good as comparing to other colleges .
College is good by seeing its alumni network its a great college.

Dislikes

The world outside the college i.e. Dhanbad is not so great.
The faculties are not so supportive in when it comes to your attendance.
Infrastructure is not too good but its ok

Course Curriculum Overview

Its a good branch with many scopes in the field of research and software job too. Faculty ration student ratio is also good. Faculty are mostly chill . The teaching method is little weird but its fine you can manage that. The exams are twice a semester.

Internships Opportunities

There are are several companies example Goldmann Sachs, Microsoft, Google and many more which come for the software Engineer intern role. Many companies such as Accenture also come for consulting and axxela for trading profile.

Placement Experience

Stiudents pursuing BTech degree become eligible for cmapus placements in 7th semster and for Int MTech it is 9th semester. Companies like amazon, microsoft, goldmn sachs, accenture visits for the cmpus placements. 55 lakhs was the highest package offered and 19.8 lakhs is the average package. about 82% were placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is little high but for financialy weak students the college provide fee wavier. It has two slabs below 1 lakh no fees, above one lakh and less than 5 lakhs you have to pay only 33%of the total fees. You also got many types of scholarship like Mcm.

Campus Life

Great annual fest, tech fests IITS are famous for its fests. One of them in our college is srijan which is a cultural fest. It is organised in February. Concetto is a tech fest and it is organised in October. There are many more fests. It has the haslargest library in Asia so don't fear about non availability of books. Sports and extra curricular activities are at their peak. LiveTalkIsm is the official podcast club of the college.

Hostel Facilities

Lan connection, WiFi, and all other basic amenities are all their in the room. Mess food is worst Registration process is quite simple. You can choose your roommate, Hostel is quite affordable and good. It is required because of the peer group you have in the college

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

I had given JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED in 2022. I secured 3773 rank in jee mains and 4152 rank in jee advanced. You can find the application form of jee main and jee advanced on their respective sites.

Faculty

You don't have to expect any support from the faculties even they will make you repeat the course even if you have just one class more absent than allowed. There teaching will never affect your skills I would rather say that these things doesn't matter in any college.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director.
