What Students Say
Likes
- Social interaction is good, seniors are supportive and chill. But there is a culture of calling seniors as Sir and Mam.
- It's a beautiful, green campus and It has all basic facilities that you need.
Dislikes
- The food at mess here is very bad. Like real bad.
- Some faculties are very rude and not that great at teaching , they might be better very knowledgeable but not a great teacher perhaps.
- The girls to boys ratio is bad, it's like 1:4.5 girls to boys ratio.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum 4 out of 5. The curriculum is mostly relevant and well-structured, covering both basic concepts and advanced topics. The strong core subjects and practical components like labs and projects were key reasons for choosing this course. I just got in my 2nd sem so there's a lot for me to discover yet
Internships Opportunities
I currently do not hold any information about all this personally but these are some second hand information from our placement cell Tech & Software Internships Google Microsoft Amazon Atlassian DE Shaw & Co Flipkart Oracle Samsung Adobe Infosys Bosch (from some reports) Cognizant (from some reports) Core / Engineering Internships TATA Steel Siemens Toshiba TATA Motors Capillary Genpact Technical & Product Roles Software Developer Intern Research & Development Intern Machine Learning / AI Intern Data Analyst / Data Science Intern Quality Analyst / QA Intern Core Engineering Roles Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Intern Electrical / Electronics Intern Engineering Design / CAD Intern Process / Production Intern (Many core companies offer project or technical internships aligned with branch specialization.)
Placement Experience
One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Campus Life
The annual fest is called cult fest here, it's is yet to be happened for my year so can't say much but I've heard it is pretty awesome. The technical fest is know as OJAAS, it is one of the biggest technical fest in eastern India. Sports fest here is URJA which was pretty well done in my opinion. And there are many clubs here in which students can join based on their interest and develop there personality. I myself is a member of I&IR team which deals with alumni relations in our college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel in which I am currently deciding is one of the best hostel I have ever seen it has all the basic facilities that a hostel should have it has proper lighting block internet facilities it has LAN and Wi-Fi. All the food provided in my hostel is very bad sometimes it is not eatable. We have complaints travel times but they have won taken any initiative vative towards our food. Yes the hostel and mens is pretty affordable you have to pay 15000 for hostel at 17000 for mess per semester.
Admission
One of the biggest reason for me to choose this college was, it is the best college with the best average package that I can get on my rank. And it was very affordable for me and I was getting a circuital Branch so it was very easy for me to choose this. The admission process was very smooth you first have to apply for Jossa counselling and in that you have to enter a lot of colleges and based on your rank you will allotted a college and after Jossa finished you also get chance to sit at CSAB counselling, after you get alloted this seat. You have to be present in physical reporting at the college and after that your admission will be completed.
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is decent. And yes some faculties are very approachable and supportive, they will guide you not in just academic but through your life too. We have a calculus faculty Mr Ramayan sir, he's a great teacher and a great person. He's very approachable. There is a engineering chemistry faculty named SK Prasad sir, he's very rude to students and doesn't teach properly so I personally don't like him. In one semester we have 2 exams mid sem exams and end sem exams, i would rate difficulty of exams with 4 out of 5. And currently they have changed their curriculum so it's more relevant to our industry now.
Night Life
My favourite hangouts spots are Nescafe cafeteria where you can get many things to eat chill with the friends they have music system so you can just enjoy there. Although the gym here is very bad it is so small and it does not have any proper equipment so it is a down side of my college. And yes it's pretty safe for us to roam inside college campus unless we don't go in strange places
Other Applied Colleges
Punjab Engineering College University of Technology - [PEC] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
It's because of higher fee.
