All you want to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

Subjects if studied regularly have deep knowledge about the subject. Professor's notes and books are a good combination for marks as well as deep knowledge of the subject. Students can work on the projects in the NVCTI with the professors permissions. Student can test their knowledge bu working on the projects.

Companies includes Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Amazon. For core roles Texas Instruments, Jaguar Land Rover, Reliance comes for internships. Stipend varies from 75k to 1.50lacs. Projects depends upon companies. It is given after students joins the company in the summer.

Students are offered internships in their 5th semester and companies are opened on superset. Around 500 have got interned out of 1100 batch and 800 got placed out of 1100 and some have plans for international studies as well. Good thing is students have been placed in core companies as well which is good for someone who is not interested in coding. For electrical students have been placed in well reputed companies like Texas Instruments , Jaguar Land Rover, Reliance and JSW Steel. Hightest package received is 55 LPA and averga package is 16 LPA.

There are various clubs in our college for students who want to grow their personalities like Fotofreaks, LightsCameraISM, LiveTalksISM and various other based on students choice. For technical clubs we have CyberLabs, RoboISM which have various teams where students can join based on their students. Our fests include cultural fest Srijan, tech fest Concetto and Parakram as our sports fest. Our library includes all the branch , fantasies and various competitive exam books like GATE , CAT. All the classrooms include smartboard making it easier for students as well as for teachers to show the notes on the board.

Hostels includes badminton court. Cleanliness is a plus in the hostels which matches with every students. For first to third years students have to live in hostel rooms and for final years students are given their own room. Mess food is average. Menu depends on the students interest they can like it or not.

My admission is based on my JEE Advanced rank. Initially I got Bachelor of Technology in Mineral and Metallurgical Engineering. But there is a chance of Branch Upgradation on the basis of CGPA so I got a good CGPA in my first year and I upgraded my branch in Electrical Engineering. Other colleges in which I got admission is Punjab Engineering college Chandigarh but it got upgraded to IIT Dhanbad considering my JEE Advanced Rank.

1. Faculty for the courses are good. 2. We have 32 marks midsem, 48 marks end sem and 2 quizzes. 3. Grading is relative. 4. All the marks are uploaded on time on our MIS. 5. All the lecture notes are uploaded on MIS and student can access it using their credentials.

Famous places in our campus includes Main Canteen, Library, SAC and lower ground where students can go for relaxing their minds, sports and studies. SAC includes club rooms where club practices for their events, gym for gym lovers, swimming pool and badminton courts. Hostels closing timings are 12:00am and opening timings are 7:00am. We have a big campus where students can roam with their friends after classes.
