IIT ISM DHANBAD Review

I choose mechanical as i was interested in it and so was my jee rank. mechanical engineering application , i don't think i need to tell you .see every machine like cycle ,freeze, ac ,bike you need mechanical knowledge to understand their functioning. teachers are quite good lab facilities are available . exams comes in every 2 months here

samsung ,google ,baker hughes ,microsoft ,accenture , walmart ,texas and many more companies visit here first they do resume shortlisting then online test and then after interview they send the final list of shortlisted students

7 th and 8th semester students can sit for campus placement .google ,microsoft ,samsung ,tata steel ,jsw ,texas etc many companies visit here more than 80 % students get placed here highest package is around 80 lakh as my knowledge and average is 20 lakh for 2023-24 batch . i will become eligible for campus placement next year and will try to get a decent package

for first semester during admission we have pay insurance fee ,admission fee and other charges along with hostel ,mess and tuition fee . total may be around 1,50,000 which include 100000 as tuition fee ,10000 as hostel fee and 18000 as mess fee .For sc/st students there is no tuition fee ,so they have to pay around 40000 for hostel ,mess ,liberary and other facilites charge . for second and following semesters admission charges and other charges are excluded so only tuition ,hostel and mess fee have to be paid which comes around 136000 for odd semester and 126000 for even semester . IITs provide mcm scholarship for students on basis of thier family income . if income is less than 1 lakh your tuition fee is waived off , so only mess ,hostel fees have to be paid .if income is between 1 lakh and 10 lakh you have to pay 33 % of tuition fee i.e. 33333 . students have more than 6 cgpa and family income less than 6 lakh are eligible for this . 6000 are given to students for even semester and 4000 for odd semester in this scholarship . you can also have other scholarship based on your high school board and result . Like I belong to MP where you can apply for chief minister medhavi vidhyarthi yojna /scholarship if you pass their eligibility criteria they will paid your college fee. so if you have qualified jee ,you don't have to worry much about your fee .Only thing you have to care about is your study

You have to enjoy in college along with study . for enjoyment many fests are arranged like srijan, basant in feburary khanan in novembor ,concetto in october and many more . iit ism liberary is very good you can get books related to mythology ,history and stories book along with academics book .you can issue them and have to return within one month .smart boards ,projector and mic are used in classes . you can also join sports here like cricket ,basketball ,weightlifting etc . if you are interested in dance ,music and other hobby there are many clubs for you like wtc ,litm for dance ,manthan for music ,lci for videography etc

facilities vary from hostel to hostel . In aquamarine hostel room is very good, there are two students in a single room (almost in every hostel ) study table and chair , lane port ,wifi are available .menu looks good but you cann't expect good food in mess paneer ,kashmiri dum aloo soyabean ,kichdi every saturday and other seasonal veg menu looks like this but when it comes to taste you should have good survival skills

I have applied for iit hyderabad ,iit roorkee and other iits also but got admission in iit dhanbad .my jee rank chose this college .there is jossa couneslling for admission in iits through which i got admission .you have to qualify jee advanced to got admission for btech in my college and gate for mtech

there is decent faculty to student ratio like we are 120 students in our btech batch and around 50 proffesors in my department .In lab groups are made of around 5-8 students and each group is handled by one proffesor . if you want to talk to them they talk very nicely but only if talk is about study related if you go to them to ask for attendance and extra marks they may be rude also . proffesors share thier experience to us and if you are active in class you will become their favorite but mostly students in college don't take proffesor and their class seriously .and prefer to study just before exams . here semester exam is divided into two parts mid term and end term .mid term consists 32 % of total marks ,end term includes 48 % rest 20 % are assignment ,quizes. difficulty level is quite hard for end and moderate for mid and varies for different coarse

gym facilities cafe ,library are available for students . you can enjoy food in maincanteen ,mehejbaan . dominos is available in our campus . you have to reach your hostel by 12:00 am and cann't go before 6 am . you can roam around at night very safely and can find people anywhere
