Yes, an entrance examination is compulsory for admission to the B.Tech. programs at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT). Admission is based on the All India Rank (AIR) obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must have appeared for one or more sessions of JEE Main 2025 to be eligible for admission under the All India category.

Yes, DAIICT has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. There are three hostels available out of which two are for boys and one for girls. There can be One thousand+ students accomodate in these hostels on twin sharing basis.

DAIICT does not offer the Computerscience course. DAIICT Admission to B.Tech program is done on the basis of a valid score in JEE-Main under All India Category. • Candidates must have passed or must be appearing in the year of application the qualifying examination, i.e., XII standard or equivalent from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/ Biology and must have secured a minimum GPA of 6 on a 10-point scale, if grades are awarded. In case marks are awarded, candidates must have secured minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science /Biotechnology/Biology of the qualifying examination.

Academic Requirement for ICT UG:

• The minimum academic qualification for admission to the programs is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent) to the Institute latest by 30 October 2024, failing which the provisional admission will stand, cancelled.
• If a candidate is found ineligible at a later date, even after admission to DA-IICT, her/his admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original testimonials/certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the competent authority at DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the B. Tech. programs will be based on the All India Rank of Joint Entrance Examination Main, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency, Government of India. Therefore, candidates who are appearing for JEE Main can only apply for these programs.

DAIICT offers M.Des Admission on the basis of CEED/DAT Scores. You must have a bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a statutory university in the fields of Design, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, and Performing Arts. Professional Diplomas from nationally recognized institutions such as NID, NIFT, CEPT, and Srishti School of Art and Design will also be considered for eligibility. Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/examination and are required to submit the provisional Degree certificate or proof of completion of the Degree before 30 October 2022 failing which their admission is liable to cancellation. 

The fee per year for the Mtech course is INR 1.29 Lakhs at the  DAIICT, Gandhinagar. Admission to M. Tech. (ICT) with specialization SS, ML and VLSI will admit candidates through two channels from this year: GATE and NON-GATE.

• Candidates who have a valid GATE score in the disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), only can apply. The ranking of candidates with GATE score of 425 or above will be on the basis of GATE score only. The candidates with GATE score less than 425 may be required to appear for an interview at DA-IICT in person/Online. Ranking of such candidates will be based on the GATE score and performance in the interview.
• Non-GATE candidates selection will be based on their qualifying degree and performance in the interview. Weightage will be as follows:
  • 40% weightage -> qualifying degree
  • 60% weightage-> interview

Candidates for this program without a valid CEED score will be selected for interview through a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) to be conducted through online proctored Test. Candidates with a valid CEED score will be selected for interview if they have qualified Part A, and have obtained a minimum of 25 marks in Part B. 

DAIICT Gandhinagar M.Des Eligibility Criteria 

• A Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a statutory university in the fields of Design, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Performing Arts. Professional Diplomas from nationally recognized institutions such as NID, NIFT, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design will also be considered for eligibility.
• Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/examination and are required to submit the provisional Degree certificate or proof of completion of Degree before 30 October 2022 failing which their admission is liable to cancellation. 

DAIICT, JEE Main Cutoff 2023 for General Category is 6 - 45 for round 1 rank. DAIICT, JEE Main Cutoff 2023 for EWS Category is 22 - 87 for round 1. The overall cutoff rank for JEE Main is 230 - 323 for round 1 for the SC. The overall cutoff rank for JEE Main is 1192 - 6662 for round 1 for ST.  DAIICT, JEE Main Cutoff 2023 for SEBC Category is 54 - 326 for round 1.

The fee per year for the Btech course is INR 1.72 Lakhs at the DAIICT. The total fee is INR 6.88 lakhs for the Btech course. DAIICT accepts online applications for admission to various courses.  DAIICT Admission to B.Tech program is done on the basis of a valid score in JEE-Main under All India Category.
