Course Curriculum Overview

5

I personally think - sometimes the course curriculum does out of hand. Like some things - i believe are not much essential for us to study. See every student came in DAIICT with a dream set up in his/her mind. The courses generally cover all of these students dreams. But talking about individuality. Also there are generally many courses too which prepares the students to get ready for many real world problems. Also the projects - they are not out of context - they always helps us, challenges our brain to think and implement the solution in real world - which definately prepares the student for being ready for any challenges in real world. This institution does not giveaway the placements for free. They train us, in such a way that companies do get facinated by the talents of students of DAIICT.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are a total of 2 internships the students have to undergo. First, there is a Winter Internship (Rural Internship) which takes place after the third semester of B.tech. In which the students need to visit a NGO assigned to them and work for them accordingly. This is non-stipend Internship. Secondly, there is Summer Internship in the 8th semester of the course. This is the basic internship in which the student need to work with a company and gain experience for the real-world. Also they are generally provided stipend here.

Placement Experience

5

Our college provides great campus placements. This year the average for B.tech ICT was around Rs.18,00,000 pa. And the highest package offered was Rs.82,00,000 pa by Atlassian. The placements are really great here. There are generally 200 company visiting the college. But talking about the high-end companies they are about 20 companies visiting the campus. The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year itself (that is 5th/6th semester) and above. These are some top companies that visit our campus - MAANG, Flipkart, Microsoft, Atlassian, Infosys.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at DAIICT is as follows : (Per semester 6-months) 1) Academic fees - DAIICT has a total of Academic fees (B.tech ICT) of Rs.106500 per semester. This academic fee is the cumulative sum of three types of fees. 1. Group Medical Insurance - Rs.1500 -- 2. Registration Fees - Rs.2500 -- 3. Tution fees - Rs. 102500. Although there are some scholarships offered here. 1. Merit Scholarship 2. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

Campus Life

5

The campus life here is really awesome. I do love the campus life here. There are a lot of events that go on after every week or so.. The main fest at DAIICT is Synapse. It's really awesome there are a lot of events organized and also concerts are fabulous. There is also a technocultural fest at DAIICT - i.fest. This is Gujarat's biggest technocultural fest and this also has many events which are so much fun to participate. They also increase the social skills of students - by interacting with many people around. Conclusion - The campus life is really nice at DAIICT. Also seniors are really friendly here too.

Hostel Facilities

3

The facilities provided at hostel are perticularly low as compared to other facilities. There is no attached bathroom facility. There are common bathrooms (5 among 20 rooms) Also there are no maids for cleaning rooms. Students have to clean their room by themselves. Also there is no AC facility and if the students want to bring thier own coolers, it is only allowed during summer times. But generally weather is hot here and so coolers are a neccesssity. Registration process - On the day of registration, the HS (Hostel Supervisor) allocates each student their rooms (2 person per room). Also the room allocated are not changable for the whole term of 4 years of Bechlors. And the same goes for Masters and PHD students.

Admission

I generally didn't look up to many colleges. I personally liked the course ICT and I want to build up my career in this course itself. This is because ICT is the combination of IT+CS+ECE. Like the best combination, a computer engineering enthusiast can opt for. Therefore there were only two colleges I preffered - DAIICT and PDEU. Although I was sure that my first preference is DAIICT and luckily I got admission to my dream institute.

Faculty

4

Talking about the faculties, they are student friendly in context of projects. They generally are always available for enthusiast students. The course curriculum depends on the professor himself, how much he wants to add to his course. Talking about the exam system - they are generally slighlty hard compared to other colleges. The exams really give you the challenge that you need to overcome. They are generally understanding based in some courses. The marking scheme depends on the prof himself. The exam paper rules are entirely in the hands of this profs - like, how much marks they want to allot to perticular question. In conclusion, I would say faculties are friendly and will always help you out. And about exams they are slighly difficult but still not impossible.

Likewise every student is provided ample chances and mostly in penultimate semester around 70% students are placed. Rest all get one final chance in the massive placements activity in the final semester.
