LDCE Ahmedabad: Admission 2026, Fees, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

The Institute of Technology of Nirma University is ranked 1st in Ahmedabad. NIRF ranks the B.Tech course of the institute at 131st position out of 300 top colleges around India. LD College of Engineering is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and is also overlooked by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat.

Academics:

Nirma University:

• The CSE department has MoUs with NVIDIA, the Department of Atomic Energy, Indian Naval Ship (INS), ISRO.

• The laboratories available for the CSE department are Information and Network Security, High-Performance Computing, CISCO Laboratory.

• There are over 215 faculty members in the University.

• The Technology library has over 60,376 books, 1,65,00 e-books, 181 periodicals, 864 online journals, and 6,465 computers for students.

LDCE:

• The department of CE offers a BE program, Master of Computer Application and MTech in Computer Science and Technology.

• Some of the department’s libraries are DBMS Lab, Advance Project Lab, Operating System Lab, Digital Logic Lab, Programming Language Lab.

• Dr. Sanjay Shah is the HOD along with 18 Assistant Professors and one Associate Professor.

Placements:

Nirma University:

• In the B.Tech course, over 80% of students were successfully placed.

• In 2018, out of 808 students, 527 were placed from the undergraduate course in the Institute of Technology. The median salary was INR 3.5 LPA.

• The top recruiters are from the IT sector and Infosys, Reliance, and HDFC are the top three biggest recruiters of students of NU.

LDCE:

• Salucro, Cognizant, RouteRabbit, Tata, Wipro, and IBM are the top recruiters from the CE department of LDCE.

• Over 2244 students have been successfully employed in the last four years from which 373 were from the CE department. In 2019, 565 students received placements offers from the 111 recruiters on campus.

• Matrix, Reliance, Tata, Wipro, Godrej, Byjus, Adani, Samsung, Daikin, HSBC, Accenture, Deloitte, Suzuki, Amul, etc are some profound recruiters of this institute.

• The highest salary package of the college is approximately INR 12 LPA.

Choosing which college is superior is challenging. These colleges are well-known and have good faculty, education, and placement opportunities. Students can choose their preferred college according to the course they wish to pursue, depending on the availability of seats.

LD College of Engineering is one of Gujarat’s best premier colleges with the objectives of imparting higher education where the students can explore themselves in engineering. 

Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya ranks 9th in Gujarat among the top engineering colleges by NIRF 2020. At present, the institute consists of 132 faculty members. 

Sardar Patel University is the 5th oldest premier institute and ranked 114 by NIRF 2019. It is one of the best engineering institutes in Maharashtra, where the college alumni work in top IT firms. 

Admission process:-

LD college of Engineering

• The BTech course admission requires a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and maths. 
• The selection is based on the score in GUJCET. 
• The cutoff range is 50-9294.
• The course fee is INR 9520.

Birla Vishvakarma

• The candidates must have a 10+2 in science stream with a minimum of 45% marks. 
• GUJCET qualified candidates are eligible for admission in BTech.
• The total fees required is INR 1.31 LPA. 
• The cutoff range is 409-9162.

SPCE

• Admission to BTech/B.E is offered to the students who have pursued 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks. 
• Applications are made through MHT CET, and admissions are offered based on merit. 
• The total fees required is INR 1.70 LPA. 
• The cutoff required is 135-149.

Placements:-

• LD college of Engineering always encourages and motivates the students for innovative ideas. The total number of companies visited in 2019 is 112.
• Birla Vishvakarma is known for having the best placement record having more than 35+ companies visiting the campus every year. 
• More than 95% of the students from SPCE got placement in 2019. The average salary offered in 2019 was 5% more than the previous year.

The top recruiters are Deloitte, Byjus, Adobe, Oracle, Directi, Mahindra, PwC, Bosch Limited, Wipro, Tata Communications, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, Oracle, Deloitte, Voltas, Philips, TCS, Accenture, etc. 

Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya is much more preferred than the other two colleges. The experienced faculties, good placements, and wide campus make it a suitable place for the students.

After doing some research online about these colleges, I found out that mostly students prefer DDU. It would be better in all the ways from campus to placements.

• The campus of DDU is very good. The infrastructure is well developed.
• All the required facilities are provided and they are fully functional.
• The labs are well maintained.
• The teaching faculty is very good and much better than LD and MSU.
• The academic curriculum at DDU is better than LD and MSU.
• Companies such as Infosys, GSFC, Reliance, Wipro visit for hiring.

You may also want to know that why they do not prefer LD:

• It is a Government institute and it comes under Gujarat Technological University. The exams are conducted at odd timings.
• The schedule is not followed well and vacations are not given at the proper time.
• The students do not get time to learn anything or do internships.
• The labs are poorly maintained and not functional.
• The teaching faculties are not good and supportive. Students have to do self study.
• The only advantage of studying at LD is that it gets a good number of companies as it comes under GTU. Companies such as TCS, Accenture, Cybage, Persistence, HSBC, elite core, Wipro, matrix visits for hiring.

The students passing out from DDU have more skills and knowledge compared to other students. So, overall, DDU would be a better option.
