- My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
- The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
- Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
- The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
- 75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

- I liked the fact that campus is green and lushy with trees all over the campus
- The sports facilities here are excellent with equipemnts and ground available for 20+ sports
- Also the culture activity societies here are also very active and keep hosting different events throughout the year
Dislikes
- I didn't like the hostel rooms as they are very small and triple sharing
- The bathrooms also aew always dirty and small. The level of bathroom cleaniliness is like at petrol pumps
- The teachera here are very experienced but lack the skill of communication
Placement Experience:
The placement at our college is excellent with top packages going uptill crores offered by big companies like jane street. Even the average package here is approx 18-20 lakhs. The top visiting companies are google, amazon, jaguar etc offering roles in consultancy, software engineering and core fields.

- The facility is very supportive and helping. they teach using practical knowledge.
- The hostels are very good and the infrastructure is well maintained.
- The institute has a lot of greenery and grounds and parks.
Dislikes
- There is water logging in the season of rains.
- Sometimes during summers it becomes very hot to stay in the room.
- Rooms are alloted on top floor and it is hectic to climb stairs after a tiring day.
Placement Experience:
IITD is known for its placement packages. Almost 80% students are placed every year in various companies like Jane Street, Goldman Sachhs, Jaguar, and there are very large opportunities for internships. The average package is around 22 Lakhs.

Placement of college is really nice. we have a placement cell name OCS IITD where we register ourselves for the internships and placements and from that portal we apply for the job or intern and then the test link came to our college email if and then the placement interview start from dec 1 which we call it as Day1 and it will run till day 15 till that most of the interviee happens but after that interviews get slower and then phase 2 gets start from february

From end of 1st sem of 4th year placement season starts, for my course highest package was around 1.6cr, given by quants companies. Percentage of students getting placed is 95-100%. My plan after getting a degree is to get a high paying job

- One I thing liked was the peer group . There are people who are genuinely interested in what they do.
- The alumni is the best thing of IIT Delhi. Such a large and we'll renowned alumni network not only helps in gaining internships and all but also helps in any sort of situation
- The junior Senior bonding is among the best across all iits. Here students of all years stay in the same hostel
Dislikes
- The Gender ratio is pathetic to say the least. It's 5:1.
- The professors are very talend and knowledge but lack necessary teaching skills and empathy for the students
- The environment sometimes becomes increasingly competitive and hostile.
Placement Experience:
IIT Delhi has the best placement out of all IITs. 100% students get placed. I want to do a MBA after my degree. There 4-5 different types of jobs. One Quantitative Finance which takes in top 1% of the institute. These folks earn in crores. The second is the technical jobs which consist of coding and average package is 30 lpa. Then the most famous is consulting i.e your MBBs which offer approximately 20 lpa. Then there is analytics. There are startups. Start-ups hire the most from iitd due to its proximity from gurgoan

- I liked the the hostel culture among the people the motivation among people for fight during interhostel events rather it is cultural or sports,.the motivation stays to the point
- I also like the vast variety of clubs that are active for example in dance we have western group dance , street battle team, classical society and duo contemporary society too same goes for the rest of the clubs
- I loved the location of IIT Delhi it is located on the central area in new delhi all clubs , malls , monuments are near to hauz khas. And the metro connectivity which is a huge plus point
Dislikes
- I disliked the pollution in delhi, in winters it is barely visible and very difficult to breath . U have to go to the class in that pollution without any excuse
- I hate the attendance policy in our college , if a student can score without going to the class then why do he or she has to go, he can stay in his room and read or do something fruitfull
- I disliked the food in iit delhi for non vegetarian, u dont have a huge variety of food to eat in nonveg so u don't get enough protein diet

- Alumni Network- I just text my Alumni on LinkedIn with all the help and resources I want and they try to support and provide me with the right help.
- Internship Opportunity - I just reached out to the companies on LinkedIn and I studied some part of the role and they show interest because of the refferal through IIT network
- Entrepreneurship Culture- Currently, I am the president of E-cell IIT Delhi and I am grateful for the IIT giving me such opportunity, It helps me in connecting lot of Unicorn founders easily
Dislikes
- Academics - I just hate Textile Technology as the teaching content is not updated with the current technology
- CGPA- I don't have have very high CGPA, I am just with 6 but still I have off campus PPO at VC firm in Dubai with 40L per annum package. I just hate CGPA descrimination. Low cg people also do well in life
Placement Experience:
During 7th semester students are eligible for the placements.
Many companies visit from Google, Microsoft, Elevation capital, basil, samsung, jaguar, Flipkart, groww, TATA 1mg, etc. Highest package goes upto 2CR per annum and Lowest is around 4 Lakhs. 70-75% students get placed easily. I have PPO so I am not sitting for the placements

- Culture - The hostel culture for boys is so good in IIT Delhi . Everyone holds spirit for doing something for the hostel . And with various culture activities present , culture never stops.
- Labs - Very good and maintained lab with good profs and tas
- Seniors - seniors are very friendly and with such a huge anti ragging campaign , no ragging occurs in the college . With all the hostel spirit , seniors pushes us forward to achieve more.
Dislikes
- Hostel infrastructure - Every hostel ammenity is so bad . Rooms are small . No ventilation
- Girls to boys ratio - Only 1:4 ratio of girls to boys . Not a good way to interact with the other gender for both girls and boys
- Teaching - Sone profs do teach good , but some profs don't . They follow the primitive way of knowledge and are more formula based rather than understanding
Placement Experience:
Campus placement occurs at IIT Delhi . You can opt for campus placement for internship from the 4th sem onwards but only if you have a great cgpa or you are good in eca. After getting a degree , I also plan to go with campus placement or maybe pursue further studies

- Faculty are very supporting and experienced. You can approach them for everything and they will support you without judging as long as you dont have lame doubts or requests
- The environment is not really competitive and everyone support each other. The senior's are really good and supportive and arrange many events for the freshers. There is no raging and everyone are really friendly.
- The food tastes good for a hostel. Its not the best but its better than many other engineering hostels mess food out there.
Dislikes
- I disliked the hostel allotment. They are not in a good condition, especially old hostels and the new ones are very conjusted. Rooms are very small and 2 people are seated in a single bed room.
- The hostel infrastructure is really old and ceilings paint falls off, all sofas and tables are in bad condition and club rooms are dusty and unclean.
- Everything gets clogged during rain in hostels. Management at hostels is not really nice. Hostel lawns and cycle stand get flooded and it makes it really uneasy for the students to go out of the hostel.

People are eligible for placements in internships after 2nd year.
Companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Air India, and some quant companies like Jane street too come here to offer internships.
Around 80 to 85 percent get placed every year, minimum package being around 7 to 8 lakhs usually
Last year 87 placements of 1 Cr and above were made (both external and internal combined)

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
