Get to know IIT

Learning more about growing semiconductor market, sparked my interest in electrical engineering. Curriculum doesn't prepare us for real life problems instead prepares us for question solving. Exams could be a less frequently

Im a fresher but i asked my seniors, they said it good amount of effort , you can crack an intern. Things that would be great to get an intern would be, a good cgpa, good amount of por (position of responsibilities) etc.

From end of 1st sem of 4th year placement season starts, for my course highest package was around 1.6cr, given by quants companies. Percentage of students getting placed is 95-100%. My plan after getting a degree is to get a high paying job

1st payment during admission took around 1L tution fees and 35000 hostel and mess fees. Tution Fees for sc, st, pwd students is 0 and students whose parental income is below 2L is also free tution fee. Many scholarships and financial aid is available, as i mentioned about income below 2L/annum.

Cultural festivals are rendezvous (October usually), sperenza night(only for freshers) and technical festival is tryst which is held in March every year. We have a central library with lots books. We have 2 sports complexes which have almost every sports.

So in iit delhi there are 11hostles out of which only 2-3 hostels have double sharing rooms. Rest all have triple sharing rooms. Or first year, we get a triple sharing rooms and only in girnar and udaigiri they get double sharing rooms. In other hostels we get single rooms from 3rd. Hostels accomodate btech 1st year to PhD students. Facilities provided are, clean drinking water, lights, fan, cupboard, table, chair, bed. Comparing iit mess food to other mess food, food here is a lot better. Hostels are usually affordable and many students take it. Registration process of hostel is informed via mail. If I would have thought to rent a room, I would have rented it near iit delhi lecture hall complex, so the place would be SDA market

I applied for bits, jee mains. I chose iit delhi electrical engineering over any other college as electrical engineering here is the best in India. Clearing Jee advanced with a good rank is needed to get admission in iit delhi

Faculty to student ratio depends on the course being taught. Usually it's group 1-10 in one class. Each group consists of 25-30 students. Exams are reletive so it doesn't matter wheather exam is tough or easy, also difficultly level changes every year
