Learning more about growing semiconductor market, sparked my interest in electrical engineering. Curriculum doesn't prepare us for real life problems instead prepares us for question solving. Exams could be a less frequently

The course which I have opted for currently is ELECTRICAL engineering and IIT Delhi is best ranked in the electrical department by the QS world rankings. As of know, the courses that are being taught to me seem to be highly relevant. It gives us insights of the real world and how the industry works. The exams are very difficult and you have to give in a lot of thought to solve a particular problem. The frequency of exams is also very high. 2 semesters in a year and 1 major and minor in each semester along with several quizzes.

Courses are good designed I will give them 4.4/5. In our curriculum they add labs to get connect with practical knowledge in real world. Exam is held in 2 stage first is mid semester and semester exams.

I chose this course because I like electrical engineering and I wanted to come study in New Delhi. So this was the best choice I think. Student faculty ratio is not very good, although I don't know the exact figure it's probably more than 20. Teaching is sub par and the exams are held almost once in three weeks per course.

I had interest in electrical circuits and machines from childhood and obviously as IITD has its reputation. I am not sure about the exact ratio but probably around 1:50. The faculty are highly qualified and hold immense knowledge about their respective course. The teaching style is a lot different then what we experience during jee prep. the teachers leave more to the students to think and do problem solving themselves. There is a midterm exam and endsem exam and there many quizzes, assignments and lab reports throughout the semester. It is easy to pass the courses but to get a good grade you have to make quite an effort.

I chose this course because I like this branch and had little interest since the beginning of JEE preparation. Faculty: The student ratio is good like it is somewhere around 1:20. Almost all of the faculty members are well qualified and have good knowledge in their domain and also have amazing teaching methods. There are 1 minor and 1 major in a semester and lots of quizzes and test happens regularly. Some of the courses are really difficult to pass while some are easier.

I am currently pursuing Electrical Engineering at IIT DELHI. We have the best faculty available, only one loophole is the professors are very well educated but when it comes to explaining the same to the students they lack there. In many courses, the faculty-student ratio is very good whereas in some it is very bad. For example, in the first year, we had a course named COL100 which had around 300 students and 1 professor. As we progress to senior year this ratio improves and is 30:1 In a single semester, 2 examinations are held. Minor and Major. Apart from these many quizzes, lab exams, etc. are held in order to evaluate the students. Minor and Major are really hectic as 6 exams or so are held back to back without any break in between.

I had an interest in physics since class 12 and also I liked electrical circuits very much that was the initial basic reason for me to join this course. Later coming here has made me more keen and interested in this course. There are 120 students and nearly 50 teachers in my department. All teachers are mostly iitians and foreign University postgraduates and many are researchers and have done phd. They have teaching experience of a minimum of 10 years. Exams are done twice a semester and weekly quizzes and assignments are also there. Quizzes are fine but exams are really quite tough and very difficult to score full it rarely happens that someone scores full.

The first-year curriculum is common for all students and teaches basic engineering subjects. Grading is completely dependent on the professor taking the course. Overall courses and faculty are quite good. The subjects from the second year onwards deal with the core subjects of your branch but you have to complete some required humanities courses and electives.

I choose Electrical Engineering because I'm interested in Electric Department and it is a circuital branch of one of the top most IIT. At IIT, we get the best faculty from all over the world. There is TA for every group of 30 students and a personal acad mentor. Profs are too good and very experienced most of them had a lot of research in their life. As they are experienced their teaching method is better than any other college. We have 2 minors and one major per sem. They are quite tough one should have to study regularly to pass the exam. Discipline in IIT is too strict no one can practice unfair means in exams otherwise they got failed that course. Here things are more practical than theory because they believe in making us used to the real world. We have labs regularly and we have to do experiments properly.

IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutions for engineering studies in India. I am a second year B.Tech Electrical student at IIT Delhi. During my time, I was faced with a similar dilemma. But I ended up choosing IIT Delhi over BITS Pilani for my studies.
I would recommend you choose Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi over CSE at BITS Pilani because of these reasons:
Here are the important comparisons between Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi and CSE at BITS Pilani:

It’s best to compare both the branches based on the most common aspects such as
IIT Delhi Electrical Engineering offers slightly more opportunities in terms of peer quality and placements than the other.
Both the branches, Electrical and MnC have great scope in terms of employment in both core and non-core jobs. However, most high-paying jobs are given to CS students with the Electrical students securing average packages only. Here is when MnC comes to your rescue. It provides opportunities for CS jobs as well as Finance and Analytics, both being highly paid and demanded sectors. The branch attracts huge companies like Goldman Sachs.
Anyone with a deep interest in Mathematical concepts and theoretical concepts will find this program very intriguing. The curriculum comprises core math topics like discrete mathematics, combinatorics, algebra, and statistics as well as some CS topics. Electrical on the other hand, has topics like power electronics and electronic circuits which focus on practical implementation rather than theoretical concepts.
Department-wise, Electrical is better because of the quality of the faculty pool it has. MnC constantly faces issues related to the quality of teaching and faculty. The faculty in the Maths department is excellent but when it comes to teaching CS electives, it does not impart knowledge better than core CS professors.
If you ask me which one to choose I would say choosing Textile from IIT Delhi is a better option than opting for Electrical in IIT Mandi.
Although both programs are good, I would still recommend IIT Delhi EE over IIT Guwahati CSE. Here are a few reasons that support my recommendation
Hence, IIT Delhi EE is a better option than IIT Guwahati CSE.
If you are evaluating the institutes based on placements, then you will be pleased to know that IIT Delhi ranks 28th position in the Top 50 of Times Higher Education Global Employability University Ranking and Survey.
However, I feel placements should not be the determining factor as the IIT tag will get you placed with a good package irrespective of whichever IIT you choose. The primary determining factor should be your inclination towards a specific branch. If you target a specific branch just based on placements, you are likely to lose interest soon. This will result in a frustrated career. In fact, I have seen many students opt out of CS just because they realize that it’s not their cup of tea and go for average branches that intrigue them genuinely.
Here is a comparative analysis of placements of both the institutes
