The total fees for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at IIT Delhi is around 2.5 lakhs per year. This can vary depending on the course and the hostel you choose. I’m currently in my first year and have found that while it’s a bit steep, the opportunities here definitely make it worth it. The campus life is vibrant, and the exposure to internships and placements is incredible!
I'm currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at IIT Delhi, and I can say the curriculum is designed to prepare us for real-world applications, especially if you're interested in AI/ML like I am. The faculty here is top-notch, and they really focus on making us understand concepts deeply. Regarding placements in 2025, I think the IIT tag definitely gives us an edge, but with the current recession, it's a bit tough. It really boils down to our CGPA and soft skills. Overall, the environment here is great, and the opportunities are abundant.
Thanks for asking! There are several career options you can pursue after graduating in biotechnology:
Good luck!
At IIT Delhi, the fees for the B.Tech program are structured based on family income. For families earning above 5 lakhs per year, the tuition is 1 lakh per semester. If you earn between 1 to 5 lakhs, it’s reduced to 33,333, and anyone earning below 1 lakh doesn’t pay tuition at all! You also need to budget for hostel and mess fees, which are 50,000 each semester. Plus, there are various scholarships available, like the Reliance and ONGC scholarships, which can really help out. It’s a great investment for a degree from such a prestigious institution!
Honestly, choosing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi was one of the best decisions I've made. The curriculum is very thorough and provides plenty of hands-on learning opportunities. I had an internship at Google, which was a game-changer for my career. When it comes to placements, the stats speak for themselves—around 85% of students get placed in top-tier firms. Campus life is lively, with tons of events like Rendezvous and Tryst. If you're looking for a solid engineering program and a vibrant community, IIT Delhi is the place to be!
At IIT Delhi, the fees for the B.Tech Civil Engineering program are approximately 12-13 lakh for most students. I’m lucky because I’m from a reserved category, so my tuition is waived, and I only need to budget around 4-5 lakh for the entire course, mostly for hostel and food. It’s a great place with fantastic faculty and lots of opportunities for internships and placements!
You don’t get admission to IIT Delhi based on your JEE Mains percentile. Instead, you need your JEE Advanced rank!
It's as good as any IIM or any other Ivy League college in its category!
Hope that answers your question! All the best!
