IIIT Delhi Begins Registration for PhD Admission 2026; Apply Now

IIIT Delhi PhD Admission 2025-26 (Winter Session) is open till November 16. The shortlisted candidates' list will be published on November 25, followed by interviews from November 28 to December 9, 2025. Candidates can also visit the official website, iiitd.ac.in

In IIT Delhi, Phd admissions include two tracks: rolling admissions for candidates with clear research interests, who must contact faculty and secure consent, and regular admissions, held twice yearly via open advertisements and selection tests or interviews based on academic credentials.

IIIT Delhi application fees are Rs. 150 for SC/ST/DA and Rs. 300 for GN/OBC and others.

For PhD admissions, applicants need specific degrees in relevant fields such as engineering, sciences, humanities, or design, with discipline-specific marks or CGPA cutoffs. Computational Biology demands at least a 6.5 CGPA or 60%, plus a valid JRF/PhD fellowship. Social Sciences and Humanities require an MA/MPhil with at least 55% or 7.0 CGPA, or higher marks for backgrounds in science, tech, or commerce fields. Human-Centred Design candidates must have a related UG/PG degree with at least 7.0 CGPA or 70%.

Applications are accepted only online, and applicants must apply separately for each discipline, submitting hard copies of forms and documents at the interview.

Incomplete applications will be rejected. The institute may revise admission procedures or schedules and will announce changes on its website.
