- My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
- The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
- Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
- The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
- 75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

- High Academic Pressure and stress among students at IIT Delhi. Rigourous curriculum, coupled with high expectations can lead to significant stress and burnout
- The demanding nature of acadamic and extracurricular commitments at IIT Delhi can lead to a limited social life and poor work life balance. Many students find it challanging to engage in non- academic activities or persue personal interest.
- Despite premier institution, IIT Delhi faces certain infra and resource constraints. Issues such as overcrowded classrooms, limited hostel facilities, and maintenance problems
Placement Experience:
IIT Delhi attracts top tier companies like Google, microsoft, BCG, JP Morgan, Larson and Tubro etc. Highest package is 3 Cr INR /annum while average package is around 25-30 lakh. Around 85% students secure job offers by end of placement session

- Really liked the crowd here with lots to explore
- Most departments are great and dont bother people going for non core branch jobs
Dislikes
- Most clubs are kinda stagnant but it could be because of covid as 2 of the first four years were online with next to no club activities
- Some department profs are not supportive of the students especially the mech ones and as ive heard the mathematics ones too
- The availability of opportunities isnt fair for all so you need to get in personal contact wit the organizers for most stuff

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

- I liked the campus very much. this is 300+ hectare campus. Its completely different from outside; pollution levels are negligible compared to outside as it is full of trees
- facilities such as yulu to travel shorter distances within the campus
- professors here are very knowledgable and completely changes one's viewpoint about the subject
Dislikes
- people here are selfish no ideal to be made friends with
- no vending machines in LHC between free time in classes
- as of now no other problems except the above 2
Placement Experience:
in their 5th semester students become eligible for interships and in their 7th sem they become eligible for placements.
i don't have knowledge about this as i am currently in 4th sem.
my plan after getting the degree is to appear for upsc exam

- The high quality education and the opportunity to learn from some of the best professors in the country
- So many extracurricular activities like a wide range of clubs, society and so many events including cultural fest like Rendezvous
- Exposure to the students from diverse backgrounds
Dislikes
- The Curriculum, Particularly the courses taught in the first year
- Difficulty in maintaining a healthy work life balance due to academic and extracurricular commitments
Placement Experience:
Placements stats are good for IIT Delhi. students entering their 7th semester are eligible for placements. Several companies visited for placements like Accenture, Cognizant, BCG , Microsoft , TATA, Quadeye , Jane street, Tower,etc. highest package was about 2.5cr/annum offered by Jane street for quant. trader profile . consultancy profiles are also high paying jobs.Almost 80-90% students got placed.but I have no interest in coding, AI, ML I want a job in core. so I am planning for GATE.

- Statup culture - there are certain events and clubs which encourage new ideas for ventute creation

- Highly competetive environment is something very tough
Placement Experience:
Placments are indeed very decent in all the profiles like spftware, IT, core, product management, consulting, research and development. It is 100% for girls and 96% for the boys. Despite recession 2024, IIT Delhi had a good record of placement.

- Good hostel and hostel food, having best brains in the country in college

- Some profs are not good as expected and their policies too
- Some courses are outdated and need to be removed
- Very hectic schedule for some branches in IIT D.

- People who get better aquatinted with seniors they somewhat get positions in clubs based on relations not based on talent
Course Curriculum Overview:
The specifics of course curriculum are designed properly based on what is needed to be taught for the engineering
The curriculum prepares us for real life problems by taking courses on techniques currently used in the department
Their should be more need to incorporate machine learning aspect
Exams are held once every two months despite that quizzes are held every month which are very hard to prepare

- I like most the sports culture and the senior . The senior is very good to us .
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement.
Companies like Tata , L and T comes and hires around 15 LPA.
About 70 percent.
I will go for upsc either civil services or engineering services.

- The network formed over the course of 4 year is very helpful
- You are surrounded by the best brains from all over the country.
Dislikes
- With all the brilliant minds the environment sometimes gets a little toxic
- The academic load is very much in IITD compared to other IITs.
- Sometimes the campus feels so big, going from one place to other can take a lot of time
Placement Experience:
The students get eligible for placements in their 7th(9th for dual degree) semester. The placement is done through Office Of Career Services. Around 300 companies visit the campus for the placements and around 1000 students gets placed. The highest package can go upto 3-4Cr, while the average hover around 15,00,000/-. Almost all the students gets placed in some company or the other.

- Inclusive environment, i have made many friends and college life is very enjoyable
- beautiful campus, located in posh area in delhi, it offers overall development.
- Hostel facilities, i love my hostel and mess food is also pretty good.
Dislikes
- Strict curriculum, it is much harder than other colleges and getting good gpa is very tough
- distance, the distance from boys hotel to lecture complex is very large and demotivates students from attending classes
- poor amenities, the hostels do not cater to the needs of the present as they are all very old, they do not have ac.
Placement Experience:
after 6th semester placement round starts, with tests and interviews going on in the seventh semester.
over 100 companies visit IIT Delhi and offer 1200+ offers.
Anybody who wants a job can get it but some students prefer not to sit in placements due to higher studies or preparation for govt. exams. such as UPSC

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
