Should I choose NSIT CSE or IIT Delhi Civil?

I am a Civil Engineering student at IIT Delhi. Even though CoE/ CSE/ IT are much more sought after by students in the present times, I would choose Civil at IIT Delhi over CoE at NSUT. Here are the reasons for the same: The faculty at IIT Delhi is much more experienced and learned than that at NSUT. IIT Delhi was established in 1961, while NSUT in 1983. Because of this, IIT Delhi has a stronger alumni network. IIT Delhi is a globally recognized brand, while NSUT is usually only known to students of North India. The “IIT” brand is immensely helpful when applying to foreign universities for higher studies. Although civil freshers are rarely in demand, a civil engineer with enough work experience, the right set of skills, and great project accomplishments is paid a high salary. How do I choose between IIT Delhi engineering physics, civil, production & industrial, and chemical engineering?

I will restrict my answer to Engineering Physics and Chemicals only as I know the same only. The major criterion followed at IIT Delhi by all the branches is a well-maintained CG. To secure good placements one has to constantly score a good CG throughout the program. During your admission, the department does not play any role but your 85 percent constraint on minimum possible strength does. Engineering Physics is a unique branch for those highly passionate about Physics and want to pursue higher studies in the same To secure core jobs, one has to move to MTech in Engineering Physics from BTech in Engineering Physics. For Chemical Engineering students, BTech is more than enough to secure decent packages and great research opportunities outside India. Consultancy and Analytics jobs are offered equally to students of all the departments Engineering Physics graduates usually take up consultancy or IT jobs Chemical Engineering is the most laid-back department of IIT Delhi with very flexible academics thus making it easy to maintain a decent CG throughout. I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for Engineering Physics if they have no intention of pursuing it later. Instead, look for other options in BTech and explore your interests.

IIT Delhi Review without Biasness

Fees and Financial Aid:

For General category BTech student IIT delhi with parental income above 8,00,000 the annual tution fee is around 2,00,000 with total course cost about 900000 without hostel. No scholarship applies, and fees rise slightly after 3-4 years.

IITD Review

The semester fees for the 1 semester is around 114000. The tution fees is 100000 for 1 semester and the other charges are 8600 for the hostel rent and the rest are exam charges. Labs are totally free of cost. The fees is not dependent on the category but is according to the parental income. As my parental income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh so i have to pay 37000 for 1 semester. The students who have their parentel income less than 1 lakh have to pay 0 fees. Various scholarships are provided to the students of 1st year by aluminis of IIT Delhi.

The annual fee to be paid here at IIT Delhi is approximated close to 2.5 lakhs per annum, which has rebates that can be considered as per the family income. The tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester which makes it 2 lakhs per annum. They charge an annual seat rent of 8.5k which is refundable when you graduate. The lab fee and accessibility fee is included in the tuition fee. They charge an additional 1500 rupees as examination fee per semester which is included in the fee that is approximated close to 2.5 lpa. Considering the family income, they waive the fee and provide additional scholarship too. (The above mentioned fee is the standard fee pre waivement.)

Don't know the actual fee i will pay as it depends on semester . Due to my low family income I don't have to any tuition fee here. I pay for hostel and admition in starting, it almost cause 70 thousand and for second sem i paid around 14 thiusand .

The assignment, there are plenty of assignments per sem and you can't copy other thay are based on your entry number
They make Saturday's working very frequently that is a major issue for me
Very Hectic schedule, I have classes from 8 to 10 and 1 to 6 that worse than some schools

I give 1.14 lakh per sem in academic fee and 35k in mess fee per sem . For those whose yearly income is less than 5 lakh they give 35k per sem for academic For those whose yearly income is less than 1 lakh they give 0 academic fee 35 k mess fee is compulsory

academics could be better, a lot of useless courses

tuition fee is around 1 lakh per semester, but if your family yearly income is less than 5 lakh then it's 33,333 per semester registration fees, and admission fees is paid on JOSAA as far as I remember, it might have changed over the last two years Merit cum mean scholarship is also available

Amazing campus life at IIT Delhi

Full of brilliant students which increase the average in semester exams.

The year wise tution fees is two lakh rupees . For the first I paid one lakh and ninety two thousand rupees which includes tution fees hostel fees mess fees and other charges. For next sem onwards I have to pay a total of one lakh and forty eight thousand rupees including one lakh tution fees and hostel and mess fees. Institute also provides scholarships for on category and income basis. My batchmate is obc NCL and he paid only one third of total fees.

my college experience

the 8 to 6 class makes the day hectic sometimes.
the avcademic pressure is slightly high and the attendence policy.

the yearly fees depends on category for ews and st,sc some relaxation is there so i submitted around 22400 per semester it includes all the fees except hostel fees and scolarship is also provided to needed students.
