- The infrastructure of the college is world class its completely equipped for people with disabilities.
- The hostel culture of our college is amazing
Dislikes
- 75% attendance policy in most of the courses
- The classes are rarely interactive but only a one sided class
Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearly tution fees is 0 ( for ST category) and about 2 lakh for general category. the hostel fees including mess is 35000 its for all the categories. The hostel fees includes all electricity and water bills. There are many scholarships for students whose family income is less than 5 lakh or between 5-9 lakh

- I liked the the hostel culture among the people the motivation among people for fight during interhostel events rather it is cultural or sports,.the motivation stays to the point
- I also like the vast variety of clubs that are active for example in dance we have western group dance , street battle team, classical society and duo contemporary society too same goes for the rest of the clubs
Dislikes
- I disliked the pollution in delhi, in winters it is barely visible and very difficult to breath . U have to go to the class in that pollution without any excuse
- I hate the attendance policy in our college , if a student can score without going to the class then why do he or she has to go, he can stay in his room and read or do something fruitfull
Fees and Financial Aid:
I pay around 100000 per semester and 60000 for the hostel fees per semester this includes everything tution fees , hostel staying, food ,wifi, etc. so 160000 per semester meaning 320000 every year. Their might be some extra 16000 every year as misslaneous fees
Likes
- Really liked the crowd here with lots to explore
- Most departments are great and dont bother people going for non core branch jobs
Dislikes
- Most clubs are kinda stagnant but it could be because of covid as 2 of the first four years were online with next to no club activities
- Some department profs are not supportive of the students especially the mech ones and as ive heard the mathematics ones too

The academic fees for general is around 125000 per semester with scholarships by the college for the lower castes. You can also avail many other scholarships during your stay from various other government and private sources.

- Clubs and societies of the college, and the engagement
- Regular held college fests like rendezvous and tryst.
Dislikes
- Academics and course curriculum, a little tough
- Time constraints, exams, and overall schedule is very tight
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tuition fee for iits gradually increase overtime depending on inflation but the increase is minimal and won't affect much. The complete cost of my degree including the miscellaneous spending is nearly about 15L(including hostel) Reserved candidate have leverage over the tuition fees to some extent.

- I was in music club which I think is the best club ever

- Academics, very tough, not doable, first year is very tough
- The gender ratio, it's 4 boys per girl, which is not good

Since I am a reserved student, the tuition fee is 0, but still there is hostel and mess fee, which is around 50k per semester. The college do provide scholarship service and financial aid for those who have their parental income less than 9lakh.

- The competitive environment and academic rigor pushed me to my limits, expanding my intellectual horizons and critical thiking abilities necessary in the professional world. From the top notch faculty to the excellent facilities available.
- State of the art infrastructure and diverse course/internship offerings catering to students of all kinds
Dislikes
- The intense competition is a boon but also a curse for many as not all are able to keep up with academics. For me personally it was very overwhelming at first but then i adjusted although it did stressed me out at times
- The demanding academic workload often led to negative impacts in my physical lifestyle with sleep depravity and all kinds of stress induced stuff.

Hikes are often revised periodically on an annual basis often due to inflation, infrastrcture development etc. The complete cost per year may reach upto 2.5lakhs depending upon the course and hostel of the student. It also varies per the category of the student (ST/SC,gen,obc). While the reserved categories may recieve some kind of relaxation. Interships are a part of campus part time employment to as to say as it provides the students with a handsome stipend

- Rendezvous ia a biggest fest of northern india.
Dislikes
- Its classe and study. Even weekends are not free.
- Saturday is working for us and classes are the most annoying thing of days

As we know IIT is known for their high packages and especially IITD for its startup culture. But inspire of a government college it's fees are as high as those of private colleges. But they give various opportunities for receiving scholarships.

- Classroom infrastructure Is next generation . The Sport facility provided is very good
- The roads in the campus are very smooth, which makes our travel easier from host
Dislikes
- The lectures also seem to be boring most of the time
- The course load is very hectic so sometimes ithe students become very stressed

The fee is 2600,00 for one year after being subsidised By the government There are many scholarships provided by the institute Also, students from particular particular category. Get financial assistance and the job is also very nice.

- Placements are very good here, you will definately get a decent placement if you want to be

- Curriculum is not that easy here, and there is pressure also to do well as all people near you are best in themselves
- Fees is quite high including mess fee it reaches 1.5 lakh which is very high compared to medical College

I feel fees are quite more but it's totally worth it when it's time for placement, Definitely, there is a fee hike in recent years and now it's 1.2 lakh per semester. If your family income is less than 8 lakh per annum then you will easily get a scholarship.

Which decision is better with AIR 730: CS in IIT BHU or Mechanical in IITD?
Both IITD Mechanical as well as IIT BHU CSE are good branches.
IIT BHU is 100 Years old Institution and offers a huge Alumni Network. The course curriculum of CSE is designed in a way that will give you enough Industry exposure. Coding Culture at IIT BHU is also very impressive with 10-12 GSOC Selections every year. The Department Club of Programmers (COPS) conducts Codefest which is the annual Department Fest which witnesses the participation of students and programmers worldwide. Moreover, besides Technical things at IIT BHU you can build up other skills since there are many clubs for Extracurriculars like Aeromodelling Club, Robotics Club, Business Club, Cultural Societies, Film & Media Council, etc. Apart from this, the Life at IIT BHU campus and city life of Varanasi is amazing. The average placement package at this IIT is nearly around 8.19 Lakhs while the Highest was 1.54 Crore in 2019. All the top companies including top tech giants Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon offer jobs as well as other sectors where students get jobs are Consulting, Analytics, Education, Business, etc.
IITD is an old well-reputed IIT. Faculties of the Mechanical Department at IITD are very good and experienced. Also, Peer Group at IITD is very competitive since many top rankers join this college. Mechanical Engineering course curriculum is good and one which provides industry skills. Besides Academics IITD too has many Clubs, Societies where students can join to develop different skills. Also, Campus life of IITD and the City life that Delhi offers is quite amazing. Placements too at IITD are good. In 2019 Mechanical Engineering was the brunch with the highest placement records. Many top Mechanical Core companies visit campus such as HUL, ITC, WIPRO, CBS, HONDA, etc. There are also other job profiles available such as Data Analytics, Software, Consulting, Finance, Education, etc.
You should choose the branch depending on your Interest. Choose Mechanical only if you have keen interest otherwise choose CSE to get more opportunities.
Should I choose mechanical engineering in IIT-D or CSE at NIT Surathkal?
Both Mechanical and CSE are good branches and offer ample placement opportunities. In this case, you should choose between the colleges.
IIT Delhi is one of the top Engineering colleges in India. They have the finest faculty, and IITD alumni have the highest number of unicorns in India. With an IIT tag, you can easily grab a job in top MNCs. Being an IITian opens great opportunities for you to pursue your higher studies at US/European Universities.
IIT Delhi Placements are top-notch. Even its Mechanical branch records an average salary close to 12 LPA. Several Finance, IT, and non-IT MNCs are open for every branch during placement season at IIT Delhi. So, you can switch to an IT career later on. For UPSC/GATE aspirants, Delhi is the ideal location.
CSE is a more in-demand branch at present. However, IIT Delhi offers much more opportunities to its students than NIT Surathkal. Therefore, I would suggest you choose ME at IITD rather than CSE at NIT Surathkal.
