Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

this course is pretty much easy as course content is less. there are laboratory classes to help us tackle real life situations . mostly professors read the ppt they bring; I would like them to explain particular topic each day without reading instead explaining on board and giving reference materials and papers related to what is taught. we have 1 minor and 1 major in 4 month semester and in between we have quizzes.

Internships Opportunities

2

i haven't done any internship yet. but there are several opportunites on on campius as well as off campus interns.the project work offered is mostly research work. you have three options to choose- consulting ( POR requirement) , coding/tech, core(high gpa)

Placement Experience

3

in their 5th semester students become eligible for interships and in their 7th sem they become eligible for placements. i don't have knowledge about this as i am currently in 4th sem. my plan after getting the degree is to appear for upsc exam

Fees and Financial Aid

every time tuition fees is increased by ten thousand or so amount every semester. total fees of my education 15 lakh in 4 years. i belong to general category and income above 10 lakh INR so no scholarships to me. though there are other scholarships available for other category students which offer upto seventy thousand INR.

Campus Life

4.5

rendezvous mazor cultutral fest hosting several celebrities. tryst technical fest and becon for startups. the central library contains several books . classrooms contain projectors, central acs and timble tab for attendance almost everysport from cricket to javelin throw or pole vault is played. we have a insti ground for that purpose. nss is a social group run by mostly students for social ause like teaching, cleaning etc

Hostel Facilities

4

there are no such facilities in room like acs etc only fans and tublights along with 2 sockets for running our elctronic devices meal offered in our mess is of good quality. we have a fixed menu for that in wich items can be changed according to availability. food contains nutritious value b.tech students are given hostels and registration process is simple on the same day of boarding the campus.

Admission

The eligibility for getting into IITs is simply cracking jee exam with a good rank. There is a counselling josaa that provides you the college along with the course among several choices you filled. Then there is a whole online verification after which you go to your for official admission. You can get the application form for JEE MAINS on NTA official site along with fees and other details. After clearing mains you can fill the form for JEE advanced. I don't have any sort of reservation but there are several benefits of reservation GEN-EWS: 10% OBC-NCL: 27% SC: 15% ST: 7.5% Also you get discount in insti fees along with requirement of less cgpa than general students for branch change. Admission process was smooth and couldn't be more better.

Faculty

3

faculty to student ratio is comparatively higher around per faculty atleast 70 students. all professores are doctorate in their respective field; some with even post doctorate. we interact with teachers mostly during classes and can meet them in their offices but with prior info.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITM] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I couldn't get one due to my JEE ADVANCED rank

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
