Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculumm is fine as per the needs. helps fulfill the gap needed and required by the students to become awesome at engineering. The practicals and labs helps preparing us for the real world problems that engineers have to solve at their respective jobs. Teaching methods and course curriculum are fine and do not put a lot of burden on the students. Frequency of exams is fine and chill and their difficulty level is mostly medium which is fine.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are a lot of internship oppurtunities here and a lot of people use them to earn money and learn new skills and meet productive people. They get various projects and work together as a team to progress and move forward in life. My friend was in a video editing internships and he got 15000 per month and had to attend classes daily for 2 hours at night and got various projects as homework.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of the college is its strong point. A lot of the students get placed at least somewhere in CSE especially. Google is the company a lot of the people get placed in. Highest package is around 2 Cr per annum and Average is around 12-20 Lacs per annum. Percentage of students that get placements is about 90%. There are a lot of internships options here and I know some students that have joined internships from the first year. My plans after getting a degree is to find a nice and comfortable job where I can balance my work and life and work hard there for good money.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a foreign student, so i have the DASA NON-SAARC Quota, so year-wise fees is about 9 lacs and the total would come around 32-34 lacs. For DASA SAARC Quota, the fees is 22 lacs in total and for the DASA CIWG Quota, it is about the same as the normal fees which is 8-9 lacs in total. Rest of the fees that i have to pay is the hostel and mess fees which amount to 80000 per year. There are some scholarships for underprivileged children who have the EWS Quota

Campus Life

5

Overall experience of the campus is good. The walks in the evening and night feel really good. And there are okish ammount of fests and events here. There are a lot of societies here which a lot of people join. The library is one of the best place here and has a huge range of books regarding every subject. Again the extra curricular activites are decent. Student run social groups are fine and they help the people in being social. The hostel life is also really good and they have cleaners. and if there is any problem they work fast on it.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is really good. I live in ramanujan hostel of dtu and this has 5 students per room, which is about a 2bhk. Mess facilities are fine but it can get a little bit unhygienic at times. Meal quality and menu is good and we get chicken 3 times per week. Hostel fees is 54000 and mess fees iis 34000. Registration process was really smooth and i had no problems in it.

Admission

I chose DTU because it was closer to my hometown than the other better colleges I was getting. The curriculum here is not that hard and tense like some NITs. The only thing that happened was that the admission of the foreign students took place about 25 days after the course had started which caused a little bit of problems at the start. I didnt take admission in the other colleges I was getting and put DTU and the top of my preference. I gave JEE for my admission and got 91ile in JEE main. Most of the students here have given JEE for their admission. And they have Delhi quota (about 85%).

Faculty

5

the faculty to student ratio would be around 1:20 to 1:50. Faculty that I have got are really supportive and good. But I have heard some professors being really harsh on the student. Ms. Poornima Mittal is my ECE teacher and she is my favorite because she really puts a lot of efforts into teaching. Till now I haven't found any teacher that i dislike. There are midterms, a few quizes here and there, practicals, internal viva, and then Endsems. About 2-6 students per class fail i guess. The course curriculum is really relevant.

Night Life

5

There is not much late night activities to do. There are a few night canteens and a special 24/7 canteen and shop for women. Library closes at 9pm but during exam time it is open for the 24 hours. Raj Soin hall, Raydee cafe, Hims cafe, Deltec cafe, Night Canteen, are some of the places students like to hangout. The whole sports ground is really good to walk.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
