A true IITD review

Fees and Financial Aid:

The 1 semester fees which we pay is 114000, which includes 1 lakh tution fees and the the rest charges are 8000 for hostel rent, the remaining are exam charges. The admission fees during josaa councling was 30000 and the mess fees which we pay per semester is 35000. For SC ST the tution fees are zero they need to only pay the hostel fees and exam fees. There are no lab charges as i already mentioned. We have differentent scholariship programes by our college aluminis and only few selected people get this scholarhip

Well, here sometimes classes are much in a day , bcz of that we don't have time for timepass.

Well, the tution fee is around 100000 per semester. For ews, it is around 1/3rd of 100000 and for sc , st it is 0 . Well, beside this registration fee+admission fee+Gym khana + medical fee+ exam fee = 5000 per semester . Here , u can also apply some govn. scholarship like Merit-cum-mean (MCM) scholarship , NSP . U can also apply various private scholarship like reliance foundation of scholarship, HDFC scholarship, and also many which are trustable . Well, the course fee is same over complete course .

* for the first year btech program i have paid a total of 290000 rupees as my early fees. * my tution fees is 200000 rupees and labfees, development fees is included in this only.there was no registration fees but a sum of 35000 was taken during jossa counselling. * the tution fees for ews category is 33000 and mess and hostel fees are same as general.there is no tution fees for sc and st category and mess and hostel feels are same as ours. *merit cum mean scholarship-->provided to ug students based on academic performance and finance need. ENDOWNMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIPS-->provided by alumni networks and donors.

High Academic Pressure and stress among students at IIT Delhi. Rigourous curriculum, coupled with high expectations can lead to significant stress and burnout

Fee hikes might range from 5% to 10% every few years, but specific rates and regularity are determined by institute governing body in conjucture with national education policies. Tution fee for General and OBC is arround 2 Lakh annually (while free for SC/ST). Hostel fee is 30000 for mess and 8600 for accomodation.Other charges might add upto 6500 rupees.

academic : iit delhi provides world class faculty and the top notch class environment with hi-tech equipments , mic -speakers ,digital board ,big classrooms , air conditioned .

there many things to explore and do and in midst of this sometimes academic backlogs create and clearing them is next to impossible in this highly competitive environment where there is a rat race for every small thing
Strict course policy , professors take their course seriously and deadline and submission and exams are tough , it demands a high focus and time and leave no room for error.

fee structure is simple, as it is a government institution, fees are subsidies also the reserved category does not need to pay fees, also there are numerous scholarships available, institute sends a mail and is required for every scholarship a person can avail. complete cost without scholarship including hostel fees and mess fees for the general category is 1.5 lakhs per semester. campus employment available are research projects under professors and teaching assistants. both are paid.

Grading policy in my college not upto the mark.
Curriculum in my college is sometimes ambiguous.

Fees structure depends on the total family income. They also provides scholarship for those who are prodigy students and those who cant afford high fees. they also provide financial assistance for those who are in need. campus employment opportunities are very nice.

The course content is good but the grading policies and worse ever I seen

There are various scholarships inside the campus offered by alumni of the college. There is tution fee waiver on the basis of income. There is also SBI scholer loan scheme . I will say money will not be obstacle if someone wants to study here.

A talk with average student of IIT

Not much things are there which I dislike in campus. But mostly I don't like the curriculum of IIT DELHI.
Also here the judgment criteria for everything is your CGPA.

So as I am here there is not an increase in fees, how much it was at that time is what it is now. It is pretty much high, as tution fees including hostel accomodation is around 119000 pet semester and mess fees is around 38k per semester. There is on-campus internship and placement opportunities. For now, I haven't got any of them. Scholarship is for metorius students or those whose family income is less. I don't have any of them so I don't have much knowledge about scholarships.
