Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I haven't chose textile as I want to get into IITD because of entrepreneurship culture. Honestly, Textile Technology course is not so good as its content is outdated I feel to the current advancements of the technology. They could include AI/ML based Textile course content, and not to reach too old industry knowledge, they could shift it to Business perspective as Textile industry is huge. Exams are quizzes, assignments, Minor and Major.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companies come to IITD campus. Microsoft comes for SDE roles, Amazon is also comes for SDE roles. Ben, BCG, Nomura, Start&, etc comes for consulting roles. Some research internships are also comes.

Placement Experience

3.5

During 7th semester students are eligible for the placements. Many companies visit from Google, Microsoft, Elevation capital, basil, samsung, jaguar, Flipkart, groww, TATA 1mg, etc. Highest package goes upto 2CR per annum and Lowest is around 4 Lakhs. 70-75% students get placed easily. I have PPO so I am not sitting for the placements

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay around 2.5 Lakhs as academic fee and mess fee and hostel fee is around 96k per annum. So yearly it comes out to be 3.5 Lakhs total fees. SC/ST students need not pay 2 Lakhs academic fees but the need to pay for hostel and mess fees

Campus Life

4

I have great campus life. We have our cultural fest Rendezvous every year. Then we have Tryst- Technical Fest and most lovely one BECon- Business and Entrepreneurship conclave. I am currently President at E-cell IIT Delhi and I know the value of connections I made through eDC IITD. we have every book accessible in Library. We have court for every sports in every hostel.

Hostel Facilities

4

It's good. We need to pay only 8k rupees per semester as hostel rent. We have mess fees around 40k per semester. We have good rooms atleast in my Hostel also, meal quality is average. Registration process is through admission in IITD. We are allotted randomly hostels by seeing the branches combination

Admission

I wanted to get into IITD just because of its entrepreneurship culture. I am just bearing with textile engineering. Our admission process is after clearing Jee advanced and through josaa counseling. We need to sit into josaa counseling and then after you get college preference and according to your rank you get to freeze, float and lock options

Faculty

1.5

Uhh... Firstly please explain what is Faculty to student ratio?.... Talking about relationship between them, Some professors are really good and have helping attitude towards students but some are not they feel proud of saying that "Last year, I have failed 50% of the class in this course". Many 4th year student degrees were extended by failing them in the course just by 2-3 marks....I can't share names of the professors. There are Minor and Major exams in IIT Delhi. Difficulty is medium to difficult never easy.

Placement Experience:

The fifth semester students become eligible for campus placements. The College organise placement, registration and shortlisting based on academic performance and semester marks. Many well-known companies visit the campus for hiring every year, including both mass recruitment and profile based offers students get opportunities in core companies as well as IT and consulting firms, the highest package offered in recent years has been competitive, and the average package is decent for most . A good percentage of students manage to secure placement through campus drives, but it also depends on students preparation and skill level students also get internships into placement offers. If a student does not get a campus placement, there are still good options for employability students to prepare for off campus placement, government exams or higher studies like Masters. Overall the placement environment is active and give students affair chance to start their careers.
