Likes
- I liked the fact that campus is green and lushy with trees all over the campus
- The sports facilities here are excellent with equipemnts and ground available for 20+ sports
- Also the culture activity societies here are also very active and keep hosting different events throughout the year
Dislikes
- I didn't like the hostel rooms as they are very small and triple sharing
- The bathrooms also aew always dirty and small. The level of bathroom cleaniliness is like at petrol pumps
- The teachera here are very experienced but lack the skill of communication
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum at IITD keeps on changing every year according to demand of the industry. There are very well equipped labs which we attend twice of thrice evey week which gives us first hand experience with the subject and makes us ready for research as well. The exam difficulty depends from subject to subject and 30/100 marks are require to pass
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides internship opportunities throughout the 3rd year for students. The top roles usually offered are of coders and consultants by amazon, jaguar, bcg and bain. The stipend varies from company to company with some giving upto 50 lakhs.
Placement Experience
The placement at our college is excellent with top packages going uptill crores offered by big companies like jane street. Even the average package here is approx 18-20 lakhs. The top visiting companies are google, amazon, jaguar etc offering roles in consultancy, software engineering and core fields.
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester wise fees is 53 thousands for hostel and approx 1 lakh is the fees for college for each semester with two semesters per year and total 8 semester in a span of 4 years. There is no scholarship by the college but there is fee waviour for those below income of 9 lakhs or from reserved categories
Campus Life
The best of my college is nothing but its fests. With our flagship fest that is RENDEVOUS being the largest cultural fest of north India. Similarly our tech fest tyrst and kaisen are also one of the best fests in delhi circuit. Coming to clubs they are also very active throughout the year hosting different competitions and workshops
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is one of the only portion where IIT delhi lacks. With triple sharing in small rooms and no ac, coolers makes it very tough to stay in the room. The mess menu is also very repetitive with paneer 4 days a week and also the quality isn't that great. The registration process for hostels is very simple and can be done from college website in 1 day only.
Admission
The selection in my college is through the jee advanced exam for which we also have to clear jee mains. The reason I chose IIT delhi over other colleges is because it was the best college I was getting through my jee advanced and jee mains rank.
Faculty
The faculty members of out college are highly experienced and well trained but the problem is that they kack communication skills that is why are unable to properly convey their message to us which makes it difficult for us to understand the topics in class many times. The best faculty here are actually the 4th year students who teach part time.
