The college is very old around 100 years and has a great aluminai network
The college is in the chandigarh city itself and has a good location not even great but a very good
College’s socity and clubs are top notch and i can see that they are best from all nits

Dislikes

PEC is govt own college so there is a large amount of corruption that makes all works not good.
The govt closed at 10 in the night i think that college should be all night open
At some point i find that the fee is too high for the hostels

Placement Experience:

In the college there is great oppertunities are there for placement and college provides intership in third year. The placement in civil is bad it is about 25% and if you look from circital branch then it is about 13lakh average

Lush greenery in the campus that provide one with freshness and positivity.
Availability of facilities for sports like football, volleyball, lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket,etc.
Availability of laboratories with equipment related to the branch for experiment performance

Dislikes

Availability of stray dogs in the campus that lead to fear of diseases.
Lack of options in the market with just two stationeries, 3 to 4 eateries and two banks
Unavailability of dispensary after 5p.m. and on weekends which makes it difficult for the students in case of any medical emergencies to receive immediate medical treatment

Placement Experience:

Internship is offered in this college at the beginning of 6th semester and placements begin from 4th year one wards once companies start coming this colege for recuitment. Many companies like L&T, Wipro, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc come for placements

Nice exposure. Due to low comparatively low strength compared to other colleges exposure was good.
Nice number of co circular activities and flagship events like PECFEST.
Teachers rare experienced in respective fields

Dislikes

Infra structure is very old. As college is 70 years old so most of labs and building are of that time
No entrepreneurship culture. Entrepreneurship and incubation cell is not active much after covid
Boy/girl ratio very bad. 10:1 is boy girl ratio

Placement Experience:

- Before recession placements were good. Median Package was 7 lakhs. - During recession placements has took hit. Few companies are visiting collge and they are hiring less. - During my placemnet cycle are 400 got placed out of 700 but media package was less compared to other years

Great opportunities but mediocre campus life

The placement and internships are very well systemised and the placement cell is very responsive and active
The faculty is very knowledgable and some professors are renowned in their fields.
Co-curricular activities and clubs are very diverse and active. There are many things to explore and enjoy

Dislikes

The infrastructure in some departments is very old and not maintained.
The wifi services in some buildings is not good enough or functional

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good. You can see many renowned MNCs and companies coming here for placements for example Amex, JP Morgan, Microsoft, etc. The placement cycle starts in the 7th semester. The average package is around 8lpa.

I have an on campus job offer at CollegDunia Itself and students can do internship in 6th semester and FTE after graduatuion. Companies like Samsung, DE SHaw, Mckinsey, Bain and other big companies also visited the campus.

The pec market where you can have your all daily requirements like stationary, food, grocery, sbi bank also, Nescafe ,..etc
You can rest in library in your free time in AC
College located in city so markets are near

Dislikes

Education system is so bad here they just send you from here to there like the banks does.
No president system here so college do there dictatorship.
And college is not that big half of college covered by residential area.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Mostly all big companies you heard of, visit here like Amazon, apple, Microsoft,... because it's a 100 years old college, and this college is only good because of its college placements. More than 50 to 60 percent get placed but it differs by branch you can detailed information on pec.ac.in After degree I'm going for ese exams preparation.

My first impression about my college.

Likes

Faculty is good and helpful. They are very qualified and knowledgeable
Placements are one of the main aspects of the college
Wi-Fi labs and classroom facilities are decent

Dislikes

The director and some HOD are strict but they are manageable
Academics is too difficult like you have to study yourselves

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like I am interested in civil engineering that's why I chose this course. Faculty student ratio is decent. Faculty are very experienced in his field. There was basically two exams in one semester mid sem and end sem.
