- There is no ragging in this college, Seniors are very chill and friendly.
- College is in the main city, so there is no any connectivity problem
- Average package of this college is far better than many NITs
Dislikes
- Hostel timings are ridiculous. They don't allow students to even roam around the college campus after 10 pm
- Guards are rude. They won't even let you celebrate birthday
- Mess food is garbage. Mess staffs are also rude
Internships Opportunities:
Before 2025 internships were allowed in 6th sem but after 2025, internship is not allowed in 6th sem in this college. In my branch, many of the seniors got intern in JP Morgan, McKinsey, American Express, FNZ etc. Now you will get internship opportunity in 8th semester.

- I liked it's quick admission process at the time of arrival.
- The college Environment is so pleasing, calm, and friendly .
- There is no ragging policy which is one of the best things of our college.
Dislikes
- Some of the mess food of our some hostels are not good.
- Attendance policy is 75% which need to be reduced.
- Strict order delivery policy in hostels is something that i don't like .
Internships Opportunities:
There are various companies such as college duniya , microsoft , astrotalk, greyb, accenture, google , natwest.
There are various projects related to tech , data , sales , management and other various .

- big spacious campus with good food offerings
- pec has a pecmarket which has everything you need like bank atm postoffice and shops for grocery
- location is premium and near PGI and sukhna lake
Dislikes
- the faculty is undeserving and not qualified enough
- out of 360 seats,160 seats of teachers and faculty are vacant
- infrastructure is poor and old, especially in the older buidings
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are overall decent. Some students usually the top 10 percenrt students get high packages north of 15 lakhs and some even get 35-70 lakhs. but this number is very small and most students get around 4-10 lpa. around 60 to 70 percent students get placed combining on and off campus placements.

- Equal opportunities for both the genders.
- Scholarships based on merit basis and also on the basis of annual income because of which everyone gets a chance to pursue the study without getting worried about the expense.
- Great companies visit in the campus to hire.
Dislikes
- Wifi connectivity inside the college is not as expected.
- Personal networks also don't work properly inside the college premesis.
- They allow the students to sit in the placements on the basis of the cgpa which is not good like cgpa cannot decide the capability of a person to work hands on.
Internships Opportunities:
Microsoft, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and many other companies visit the campus, which offer roles in every field, like sales and marketing, content creation, finance, SDE, etc. I have done projects with the scientists of CSIR-CSIO because of my college. Students of PEC get good recognition outside the college, so they get very good chances in every field.

- I like the place where this college situated just in the heart of Chandigarh city which is the beautiful city and the environment of colleges very modern and the crowd that comes in the college is very good. And this is a really reputed College here
- The faculties in this college are really nice humbe and willing to help if you reach out to them and they are lineant
- I like the clubs and the community this college has it gives a great environment to learn
Dislikes
- I do not liked the the infrastructure and the infrastructure is quite old and the fees they are taking we deserve a good infrastructure this infrastructure is quiet outdated
- I don't like the fee structure even though this is a government college the fees is still quite hi for government college
- The academic pressure I believe the college is more study oriented rather than sports or cultural oriented

Flipkart is a really big company which offered many internships in our college and stipend we read from 30 to 45000 in our college for my branch specifically speaking for electrical branch there are very less internships for my branch but for circuit and branch like ECE and CS the internship of opportunity really great. Early have no knowledge for the second question thank you

- I like the faculty of this college a lot as it includes a combination of young and experienced professors
- The greenery and cleanliness is another attractive attribute.
- Pecfest is the biggest event of the year and almost everybody waits for it the whole year
Dislikes
- The girls to boys ratio is very bad like in my branch it is 11:1
- The profs are highly eduacted and experience..but their teaching stylw is really boring
Internships Opportunities:
As I see...a lot of seniors in 3rd and 4th year have got their internships in big mncs and start-ups as well in tech jobs, finance, consultancy and core profiles as well...so this college invites a lot of companies for on campus internship and recruitment process

- The college is in a peaceful and really clean city, chandigarh.
- The college has zero ragging and friendly seniors mostly.
- Social interactions between students are good mostly.
Dislikes
- From our batch 25-26 the college withdrew major funds and permissions from its well known PECFEST, which used to be a thing to boast, all in name of academics, in turn it didn't really improve anything but make the college life even more boring.
- The 75% attendance criteria thats changed just this year.
- The buildings and classrooms are very old, nothing exactly can be called state of the art or even good kinda. Hostels are never maintained.
Internships Opportunities:
The college students get offered a number of good internship opportunities, or so they say. I myself have not yet got an internship, it's my first semester. But from what I know its mostly good. Many good companies visit the campus for interns and placements.

- Green environment is peaceful and there is decent cleanliness
- The strictness is not so much like we can go out and in leniently
- The crowd here is really educated, multitalented people and not only nerds
Dislikes
- Attendance is really strict, below 75 your grade is lowered
- The course feels outdated, it won’t help in placement, its like 30 year old syllabus with little improvements
- The ratio of male to female is like 10:1, like any other engineering college, but they are all ambitious people

Internships start in 3rd year, and also in 4th year, by the end around 50 percent manage to get interns. You need projects in your resume or else no intern and placements and interviewers are intelligent enough to make out if u made it yourself or ai did it.

- Infrastructure is really bas especially with the fees we are paying
- Some teachers are just really bad in teaching
- Fees is too much especially for such a good govt college
Internships Opportunities:
Dozens of companies come for internship opportunities in college like Google, Microsoft. I'm not really aware about the work but senior do say they're hectic work. They work in big projects as well and some crack PPOs based on internship.

- i really liked the course curriculum which will be starting from the second year .
- faculty is really helpful and each one them holds an expertise in their own core fields .
- i really love how the placements are going on currently especially in CSE branch . they are even better than many NIT'S
Dislikes
- infrastructure and labs of this college is poor because of old college . it is 100 year old college .
- subjects in first year disappoint me as being this much reputed college , teaching ED , environmental science etc makes no sense .
- they can really improve the campus by establishing modern technology in labs and improving the infrastructure .
Internships Opportunities:
There are many internship facilities available in the campus . in CSE department , average stipend is around 50 - 60 K per month . main companies offering internship is Maruti Suzuki , PhonePe , Flipkart , Amazon etc

Why is PEC losing its good ranking? Is it true that NIT Jalandhar will cross it within a few years??

PEC's previous director wasn’t a very good educationist. The infrastructure, curriculum and the extracurriculars suffered under his leadership.
But things have changed in PEC now. The new director has the opposite ideals. There has been a gradual increase in the quality of education at PEC. Some changes are:

Infrastructure is being improved

The curriculum has been made more challenging
-
PEC Fest stole the show for the year
So the long standing reputation combined with the strong alumni network will not disappoint you. PEC is not losing its good ranking and NIT Jalandhar is nowhere near it.
