Likes

Faculty is good and helpful. They are very qualified and knowledgeable
Placements are one of the main aspects of the college
Wi-Fi labs and classroom facilities are decent

Dislikes

The director and some HOD are strict but they are manageable
Academics is too difficult like you have to study yourselves

Course Curriculum Overview

Like I am interested in civil engineering that's why I chose this course. Faculty student ratio is decent. Faculty are very experienced in his field. There was basically two exams in one semester mid sem and end sem.

Internships Opportunities

There are various opportunities for intern, basically it depende on yourselves. If you prepare well for internship than you will got that. There are various companies that come to recruit in our college like APPLE ,MICROSOFT,GOOGLE,AMAZON,KPMG etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Basically you have to pay 96000 per semester . & if you opt for the hostel than you have to pay 72000 per year. There are various scholarships.(on basis of merit ie Academics brilliance) Also there are scholarships bas de on your income.

Campus Life

There are many clubs in our college like (ROBOTICS , PEB , EIC,ASCE,IGS,SESI ) You can choose on your interest The facilities of every club are decent . You got the opportunity to join various prestigious competitions held by iits and other preimiere institiutes.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is very good. In first year you got double sharing to on. After 2nd year you can geg single room Quality of mess is not very good it'smanageable. You have to register for the hostel. Registeration process is very easy.

Hostel Fee: INR 76000 per year

Admission

You can take admission after giving jee edam and getting a good score & you can find application form and all details on NTA website. Yes There is Reservation benefits. Like if you can use Home state reservation.

Faculty

The Faculty to student ratio is good like every department of engineering has more than enough Faculties. You can easily interact with professors. Faculties are well educated and they have very deep knowledege in their do main.

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

The Life in Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The placement is the one of the strongest region in this college. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester,there is placement training program which makes students get ready for interviews, tests in placements. There are prominent companies who visited our college like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered by a company is Rs. 54LPA and average placement is Rs.8LPA. 90% of eligible students gets placements. My plans after degree is to study MBA and get into entrepreneurship and business.

form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, we are eligible for placements. many multinational companies visited for placement such as Amazon, Google, Wipro and many more. The highest package is 36 lack per anum. Around 600 companies offer placement on campus every year.

A TRUSTED COLLEGE FOR A SAFE FUTURE

Placement Experience:

The campus offers good placement in amazon and other high digital online platforms. The placement completely depends on the rank of the students. Many companies such as Amazon and Birla group have visited the college. They also offer good jobs abroad with attractive salaries. Mostly in a year almost 30% of students are placed in job by the college itself. Rest 50% will surely get jobs in good companies if they have good academic statistics. After getting the degree, I would like to get job in foreign country like America and would like to settle there as the college also offers job in abroad.

I was ready to choose btech course (civil engineering ).collage faculty was more than i expected. Collage was more friendly. As in the case of students was very good at college. And also our teachers are more friendly in studies and helping the students in studies.During the examination our teachers works well. And they are able to make the students to score good marks. Collage conduct exams as 4 sections in a year.
