- There is no ragging in this college, Seniors are very chill and friendly.
- College is in the main city, so there is no any connectivity problem
- Average package of this college is far better than many NITs
Dislikes
- Hostel timings are ridiculous. They don't allow students to even roam around the college campus after 10 pm
- Guards are rude. They won't even let you celebrate birthday
- Mess food is garbage. Mess staffs are also rude
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum in PEC is not gonna prepare you for the real world applications.Talking about the exam, there is midsem then endsem in a semester along with quizzes and viva. You will be given assignments also. There are few courses which gives project which is marks based.
Internships Opportunities
Before 2025 internships were allowed in 6th sem but after 2025, internship is not allowed in 6th sem in this college. In my branch, many of the seniors got intern in JP Morgan, McKinsey, American Express, FNZ etc. Now you will get internship opportunity in 8th semester.
Placement Experience
Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee for 1st semester is 113000 and for 2nd to 8th semester, it is 88000. Basically tuition fee is 176000 per year. Registration fee, admission fee, development etc is included in the first semester thats why the fee in 1st sem is 176000.
Campus Life
Campus life is also mid. Clubs are active in PEC like SAASC, Drams, Robotics,Music Club. Library is open till 10 pm and till 12pm during exam time. There is 1 cricket ground, 1 football ground, 1 athletic ground, 1 badminton court, 1 basketball court.
Hostel Facilities
In boys hostel there are 2 beds, 1 table and a fan in 1 rOoom. Talking about the mess, food quality is very very very poor. Only breakfast quality is good otherwise nothing is worth 4350 rupees that they charge per month.
Admission
I chose this college over other colleges because of the placements. No matter how outdated their curriculum is but this college gives good placements. At my rank this was the best college which was giving an average of package of 12LPA from Production and Industrial Engg. I also wanted to live in a good city so I chose this college. If we talk about the admission process of this college, you have to first appear in JEE Mains. Then you have to apply in JOSAA Counselling. There are 6 rounds in JOSAA in which seat is alloted to the students who have got better ranks. Imo if you are a general category student then you have to score above 96 percentile to get in Production of PEC. If you dont get any seat in JOSAA then there is CSAB also. You might get seat in CSAB rounds
Faculty
Faculty in PEC is okayish. If we talk about senior professors, they don't know how to teach but they have immense knowledge of their field. There are few faculties who will just teach you by reading the ppt. Examination system is mid in PEC. They will make you write assignments like school.
Interview Experience
There was no any GD or interview but you have to appear for JEE Mains to get admission into this college. The only process to get admission into ths college is to get a good percentile in JEE Mains and then apply for JOSAA Counselling then you will be alloted a seat according to your rank.
Night Life
There is no nightlife in this college. You can't go out of hostel after 10 pm. You can even roam around the college campus during night. Everything is restricted. There is a gym in college which is open from 6 to 8 in the morning and 4 to 9 in the evening. Boys hostel in timing is 10 pm and girls hostel in timing is 9 pm.
