Facts of PEC

Course curriculum in mathematics and computing is composed of 60% maths and 40% computer science covering all major courses of computer science and a lot of maths you need to focus on building coding skills for getting ahead of the surrounding crowd and grabbing a good placement

Internship opportunities are good and provided by a lot of service and product based companies like google, ms, Delloite, tcs, Atlassian, etc but number of students getting Internships is quite low as compared to the number of students getting placements

Placement opportunities are good, with an avg package of 24-25 lpa for top branches and median lies between 17-18 lpa and for core branches avg is 14-15 lpa and median is 10-11 lpa and highest package ranges around 80 lpa to 1 cr

College is excellent in providing placements and infrastructure is also really good with a total 146 acre area of campus, only fees is a bit higher as compared to other government colleges and nits, the total fees along with the hostel(including mess ) is around 12 lakhs and very few scholarships are provided and no scholarship to general candidate having per annum income more than 5 lakhsbut there are scholarships for sc, st categories and pwd, defence students

Campus is really good with a lpt of options available to students like gym, basketball, cricket, swimming pool, squash court,badminton, tennis court, tt, etc and around 10-12 clubs and societies for every type of social, emotional and intellectual development

Hostel facilities are decent, there is regular cleaning of hostel, washrooms(decent) . Only the fees as compared to hostel rooms is more. Pg's are there but fees of pgs in Chandigarh is also a bit high and also are less preferred as distance of pgs is quite more from college

So my jee mains percentile is 98.78 and alot of options were available for me like core branches in top nits and other top government collges and cse/it/mnc/ece branches in middle level nits do i chose mnc, i also applied for top nits but they were not my first preference as i didn't want to compromise with branch

There are 2 main semester exams :- mid semester(1.5 hrs) and end semester(3 hrs) and in there between some vivas, quizzes and a lot of practicals also occur, the difficulty level is easy to moderate and 1-2 tough questions faculty:student is approx 1:10 and some facultis are really good and some are not as per my expectations
